Great central location, property fantastic, clean with everything you need . Slight issue with mice but soon got sorted and with the location of the property just one of those things . Owners were good hosts nice and chatty. Thanks for a great stay hopefully return one day .
Stayed as a party of 4 adults & 3 children for 4 nights. Had a great time exploring the area with visits to Hexham, Washington WWT, Haltwhistle & Hadrian's wall. The accommodation was perfect with plenty of space & great facilities. The views are spectacular & the children loved having the freedom to play outside and see the lambs and sheep. The Owners Chris & Paul were very helpful, especially with directions! Highly recommend & am looking forward to our next visit.
The location was an ideal base to visit places along Hadrian's Wall. We were able to get away from it all and relax.
Booked the cottage for a week while we were in the UK visiting family and friends. The cottage is huge! We had planned on using it as a base to explore some of the border towns but in the end we ended up spending most of our time relaxing in and around the cottage. There are some long walks near by, Carlisle and Newcastle aren't too far away.
The cottage was far better stocked then others we have stayed in, the kitchen has everything you need to cook with plus there's a little cupboard of left over things from previous visitors.
The seclusion was the main thing we were after, after 3 weeks of hectic traveling we were looking for somewhere away from things and this place definitely delivered (except for the fighter jet that flew over but I thought that was cool!).
Thanks for having us,
Jamie and Gen
We booked to stay in the cottage in the first weekend of the half term to celebrate my mum's 50th (7 adults). The cottage was spacious and absolutely immaculate, with stunning views from the garden. No one felt they'd drawn the short straw with the bedrooms, all huge and three of them have en suites. Plenty of lovely walks near by- would also recommend the food at the local pub, The Samson.
My mum hasn't stopped raving about it since we got back- fantastic weekend!
