Recently visited the Queens and as always the food & service was spot on...
There was 15 of us, not one of us had anything to moan about. All of our meals were delivered promptly and everything was delicious!!
We will be returning :)

The pub is a beautiful pub with truly lovely surroundings. It was a Sunday and the pub was very very busy. We sat down and everything was great. The owners (i assume) were very pleasant and welcoming. We unfortunately sat by the back door leading to the male toilets BAD IDEA, as it was very busy there was a lot of traffic back and for to the gents, the smell was horrible each time the door was opened or closed. After waiting a while for the food to arrive, i was greeted by a plate of BBQ sauce (as i ordered the BBQ Chicken and Bacon.) My meal was to say the least drowning in BBQ sauce. It wasn't edible at all. We has looked at the deserts prior to ordering our mains and were sure to have one. However after the poor food and stinky surrounding we paid and left VERY SHARPISH. What a shame the pub was lovely and wonderful surrounding. GUTTED!

I'm pleased you liked our Pub and surroundings but disappointed in your review - having chosen to sit by the toilet doors which is also the door to the garden and smoking shelter you most definately sat in the busiest area. I appologise for the smell from the Gents but on a sunday night after a busy day i'm afraid it does start to smell, dependant on usage and customers behaviour, we do check the toilets on a regular basis, i can assure you they are cleaned daily and have systematic air fresheners. We do have a restaurant which is at the other end of the of the pub which on a sunday evening is very rarely fully booked, perhaps you should of asked for a table in there.
With regards to your meal, im sorry you were unhappy but i do wish people would say something at the time, the chicken wrapped in bacon with cheese and bbq sauce is one of the most populat items and weve never had a complaint about it before, but if you were unhappy then the waitress or myself should have been told so we can either rectify the situation or offer an alternative meal, rather than receive a really negative trip advisor review. We work hard to strive to keep The Queen Inn a popular place for Drinkers and Diners and im very disappointed to hear your concerns firstly on here.
I hope you will return but would ask that you book prior to arrival so you can have a table in our Restaurant.
