Thought a more recent review should be up here....
Just returned from a week-long stay at White Cedars with my boyfriend and one other couple, and we loved it! It was our first time on the island and we found this place surfing the Luxury Retreats website. We worried that Hurricane Irma would have left behind some unwanted damages (as we saw plenty around the island and on Saint Maarten), but our house had no issues. I think the pictures online are a very accurate depiction of the rooms and outdoor areas. Three air-conditioned bedrooms, kitchen was stocked with supplies and the food we had earlier requested, the pool was a great temperature, and plenty of beach chairs and towels were available to use! There is an extra TV room outside that we never used; without it there is plenty of room for 3 couples or 6 people to enjoy the common spaces.
The Luxury Retreats team we worked with was very helpful in setting up our stay - suggested car rentals, activities, restaurants and more, and kept in contact with us throughout our trip to ask if we needed anything. Maps and brochures on hot spots around the island were also provided on our first day, and we used them every day and found many great beaches and places to eat.
Our only complaint was the road leading up to the villa. White Cedars is far out of the way of other tourist sites, great for privacy, but at least a 15 minute drive from really anywhere on the island you want to go except the Best Buy (grocery store). The road is dirt and very bumpy - we wish the owners of the properties would pay to have it flattened out or paved! Not a huge deal, just know to add an extra 5 or 7 minutes to your travel time to and from the villa wherever you're headed.
We loved our stay and hope to visit again when Blanchards Beach Shack is back up and running!
