“Awesome boat trip!”

We took the circumnavigation tour around Antigua while on our honeymoon and it was awesome! We wish we had the time to go twice! The catamaran picked us up on the beach at our resort which was very convenient. The staff was amazing and very friendly. We took other driving island tours and nothing can compare to the views you get from the water. I was pleasantly surprised by the lunch provided on board and the drinks were great (be careful with the rum punch!). At first I didn't think I'd like the circumnavigation tour or that it would be too long, but I ended up wishing we had even more time (we were on the boat from about 9am - 3:30pm). If you want to see the island (English harbor, cliffs, small islands, big homes, etc.) and breathtaking views, don't waste your money on a land tour - do this one.

One of the best day sails I done. Antigua is breath taking from the water, and if you don't take the time to do a circumnavigation sail while you are there, your really missing a great experience. The cliffs and the Hercules Pillars are fascinating. The boat is a large catamaran so the ride is smooth and stable. We stayed on the engines most of the day, I guess the winds weren't right. Even when we were in the Atlantic crossing to Green Island, the ride was fine (maybe someone extremely sensitive to motion would have an issue, but they probably aren't on a day sail). The snorkeling was OK - Better reefs in the VI, and group snorkeling is a challenge sometimes. The lunch was tasty, the drinks were good and plentiful. The crew was fantastic - they made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves. You got the sense they were really enjoying the day themselves. This is a must do while on Antigua. The price was reasonable for a full day sail with lunch and open bar.

We took the catamaran trip around the island. It was a nice trip but a little long and the water was very rough when you are on the Atlantic. The snorkeling was ok, but the reef was not very good and there is nothing to do on the island where you stop. The lunch was good and the staff was nice. It was a nice way to see a little more of the island.

Circumnavigation with Wadadli Cats is the best way to experience Antigua and explore its picturesque coast. We booked the trip through our Air Canada Vacations rep at the Jolly Beach Resort who highly recommended this trip, and it was well worth it.

They pick you up at the beach in the morning and sail northwards picking up folks at a few other spots along the way. The catamarans are big and comfortable, with plenty of room in the shade or on the trampoline; the captain and crew are fun and friendly and the music is relaxing reggae.

Majority of the way was smooth sailing; however, ride into the Atlantic on the way to Green island was a bit rough, and all had to be seated during that time. The captain knowledgeably explains points of interest along the way with a humorous twist. There’s so much to see and learn about the island and it history.

The boat stops on a secluded beach location on Green Island. Its adjacent reef with abundant sea life makes it for a great snorkelling experience. The beach there is pristine and wonderful for those who prefer swimming instead of snorkelling. After snorkelling/swimming, a delicious local creole lunch is served on the catamaran followed by beer and or/rum punch or soft drinks, etc. they also have Ginger ale!

The remainder of the trip is sailing along Antigua’s rugged Atlantic coast including Pillars of Hercules, and historic Nelson’s Dockyard in the English Harbour. The last leg of journey takes you by the Rendezvous Bay and calm south coast waters sheltered by the Cades reef, and back to the Caribbean side of the island where you stop by Turners beach for a quick dip.

It was a wonderful fun filled day and I highly recommend circumnavigation with Wadadli Cats to everyone. I would do it all over again if I get the opportunity to come back to Antigua.
