“Always go there love the food”
Reviewed 11 August 2011

I travel to dominca twice a year and i always look forward to having lunch in the big banana as i have to transit in Antigua. The staff at the airport itself are always very rude, but when you go into the Big Banana you can they actually have friendly people who maitain a cetain level of customer service that I always experience when i visit.

There is not a wide range of food choices for children but that would be my only vice with this restaurant, beside this i love this place and will continue to return there each time i travel.

You get very good food and excellent customer service for your money.........I love this place...its actually the only thing i like about Antigua

“Customer Service like something out of Fawlty Towers”
Reviewed 11 August 2010

You honestly couldn't script the comedy of customer service errors at this place. I've no idea where the staff were trained in service but I can only guess by Basil Fawlty himself.

After ordering drinks the waitress delightfully enquired "Is that all you are 'avin'?" Later she ever-so-subtly dumped a tip cup with a smiley face drawn onto it directly in front of us. When she went off shift a little later she told us she was leaving as a reminder to tip her. When we ordered the next drinks with the new waitress we were informed these would be going on a separate bill which seemed a little odd until we realised that this was so the former waitress could seperate out her tip.

Unbelievable!!! We were laughing for hours afterwards and needless to say didn't leave this little charmer a tip.

Fortunately the Sticky Wicket has reopened and I'd advise anyone wanting a drink or food at Antigua airport to head there unless they'd like a good laugh.

(Food is distinctly average)
