Cafe Bambula is now Alligators Restaurant. Local Chef, local food and great local price. The menu is not as fancy as Bambula but more of a Caribbean flare and the price is extremely reasonable. Visited there a few times in February for Lunch and have the tried the pan fried whole snapper, curry conchs, grilled Lobster and for 2 persons we spent US$50 on Lunch each time and the food was very good. The service is good also but if it is busy on cruise ship days you may need to wait a little. I highly recommend Alligators.

Sandra formerly worked at the Skull Duggery in English Habour, She finally branched out on her own and set up the Sandra's Island fushion on route 17 if you take bus.

She offers a wide variety of Caribbean cuisine all freshly made. To sum it up. It's a place you do not wana miss visiting

This place is closed.... it was replaced by something called Alligator's. We did not stay to check it out.

A little oasis in the heart of a bustling town especially if the cruise ships are in....a must for lunch. Ellen, the owner chats to everyone and works extremely hard at making this cafe/restaurant one of the best on the island ....service can be a bit slow if it is busy, but hey, you are in Antigua, just order another glass of wine and enjoy the atmosphere and the banter....a mixture of food, French with Caribbean influences.....all fresh and never had a bad meal there....fully recommended....and can't wait to be back there in December/January.......

We had a memorable lunch in Cafe Bambula - the food was yummy and my 8 year old son had snails for the first time!! which he really enjoyed. Everything was fresh and the owner was so friendly and welcoming, we would definitely recommend it BUT its closing down apparently? Hopefully, not for a while...
