“Fabulous views always - So so food, if not a la carte”

Guests at the Halcyon Cove resort can eat at the Warri Pier restaurant as part of the all inclusive package, but only on specified evenings which is when menu is the resort's menu. We dined at Warri Pier on an all inclusive night. The food was adequate, but essentially what you would expect from a three star Caribbean resort.
On a la carte nights, the food is a superior experience based on other reviews.
The view is always fabulous.

Terrible and slow service. We had to self serve first two courses and dessert from a buffet. Main course took a long time to come, when restaurant wasn't busy. Smallest and tasteless portions ever! Fillet Wahoo was full of bones. What a waste of 234.00 EC/ $86 US. Food was the equivalent to a hometown buffet.

I stayed at the Halcyon Cove where the restaurant is located. The hotel was not very full so they did not serve the posted menu. Only the all inclusive buffet was available. Buffets were mediocre at the hotel. I suggest calling the restaurant before you go to be sure the ala carte menu is available.

We dined here on Valentina's day. Everything was perfect from the wine to seafood Newburg, to the mozzarella and tomatoe salad to the choc mousse dessert! There was a special menu for the occasion including champaign and sparklers on our desserts. I had the steak with a pink peppercorn sauce, he had lobster Provençal-tender, yum! Even the accompanying vegetables were savory. The view from the pier is beautiful, you can look down and see the fish swim by. An early sunset dinner is soo romantic. They don't always open on time, this place is just for dinner. Attention to every detail was the best part. Service was exactly the same 5 years ago. Total for dinner was about $160US, this did not include the wine. Our hotel, also on dickenson's bay made the reservations and I think they have special arrangements that included a complimentary bottle of wine. The owner, I don't remember his name, was very personable and the staff was attentive but unobtrusive. Our whole dinner took about 2 1/2 hours but well worth the time.
