This supermarket had everything you needed and more, great variety of food, drink and a pharmacy, for sun tan lotion and after sun etc. There is also a small parade of shops the other side of the road for anything you couldn't find.

Thank Kim M

This is the largest, and best stocked Supermarket, on the island, and, as with all Caribbean islands, most things are imported, therefore expensive.
With reference to the "Restaurant" - this is more a display of hot and cold , prepared dishes, such as Roti, Chicken pieces, and sandwiches. There are breads, and cakes, the best of which is Epicurean pudding (very heavy, best warmed in the Microwave, and quite cheap!).
The staff are not very friendly here, or at the smaller Epicurean, in Jolly Harbour.
As a Supermarket, we found most things cheaper at the "Bargain Centre", just off Valley Road, going into St. John's. This place is packed with local people, and the choice is much smaller, but the hot food available is very good. Never go shopping on a Tuesday, as it seems the deliveries arrive then, and are not on the shelves until later in the day, or next day. This is applicable to Epicurean, 1st. Choice, and The Bargain Centre.
We needed milk on a Monday evening, and bought the last available bottle(plastic), in the whole Epicurean store.
We were quite surprised how expensive fruit was. This island is so green, and fertile, they ought to be able to grow, and sell fruit, without importing it!!

Lots on offer. A great place to shop, very convenient to the marina. I even found some Waitrose products!

Although the choice is quite wide it must be said the quality and especially the taste of the dishes is quite disappointing. Wraps and sandwiches are almost with no taste, the best part is the pita bread!! If you are REALLY hungry, nothing else is open on the island (that is quite likely especially during Christmas time) you can venture here and have something from the deli shop/counter but, in my opinion will be survival and not an heaven experience. Sorry....
