“Great rock formation in a very cool harbor - snorkling ok”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 January 2012

Stopped here for snorkeling on a tour. The marine life was ok, the real attraction was the Pillars. If you stop here for snorkeling you will most likely go in the harbor and see some billionairs yachts, very exclusive harbor...but a very cool place to swim and see this rock formation up close. Highly recommended as part of a tour. We used Adventure Antigua and had a great time.

“The elements have sculpted a cliff”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 November 2011

The Pillars of Hercules stand at the end of Charlotte Point guarding the entrance to Freeman's Bay and English Harbour. These are natural geological rock formations carved by wind, rain and the sea. Unfortunately they can only really be appreciated when viewed from the sea.

“don't miss it”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 March 2011

In the evening we drove to galleon beach, hiked up a path a short way and then walked along the beach and rocks until we found the pillars. We had to climb over a lot of large rocks. There was a bit of a beach in front of the pillars. We watched the sun set over Monserrat. Not sure of tides so I don't know if there is always a beach there. I wouldn't want to get stranded!! Amazing site. Great pictures! I had wanted to take the water taxi over to see them but we tried this first and it was great.
