My husband and I had just spent the day at Rendezvous Bay (a nearby secluded beach with no amenities) and we were looking for bite to eat but didn't want to end our time in the sun. We remembered that we'd seen Salty Dogs in the Shipyard and it was right on the water. Perfect! We arrived and were able to snag a table right on the water, and ordered 2 Coronas. They even had cushions so you can sit on the ledge even closer to the water and watch the marine life - we saw lots of crabs! We only ordered fries which were OK, my curry dipping sauce was awesome and the hubs said his BBQ sauce was really good. But most of all we enjoyed the view and atmosphere.

Exploring the island by bike and low and behold we find a great waterfront pub. The staff was friendly and the drinks were cold. Best of all the prices were not too bad. If you are looking for a great pkace to relax and enjoy yourself then Salty Dogs is it.

We stumbled across this place by accident exploring the island and was very happy we did. The beers were cold, their food was good and best of all, it wasn't too pricy. The conch fritters were a great appetizer, and if you dare, they have "The Kraken Challenge" which are some spicy chicken wings made with ghost chilies. Eat 12 in 30 minutes without drinking anything and they will put your name on the wall of fame and give you a souviner t-shirt. Beware, our waitress said only 2 people have made it!

The best thing about Salty Dogs is its location right on the waterfront at Antigua Slipway.
Having had a pleasant drink there one afternoon it had all the promise of being a lively venue and so we returned on a Saturday evening for a drink and some food.
Unfortunatel, there were very few people in there (us plus 6 others) and the quality of the food wasn't that great.
Hopefully things will improve because of the location and the potential.

Salty Dogs is a great pub at the waters edge. We went there for lunch and it was fantastic. The food was excellent. The cannon ball cheese burger is a must! The fish & chips where good as well. Great food, service and view! The salty dog has it all on an island where service is sometimes lacking.
