“Peaceful and georgeous”
Reviewed 15 July 2012

Just returned from a full week at Oceania in a 2 bedroom apartment. The rooms are lovely and the view of the ocean and the grounds are beautiful (notwithstanding the much-talked about crane next door). I learned that the crane has been there for 6-7 years now so I don't think any construction will be going on any time soon!

This was a fourth floor unit in the Palm building (P416). There were some issues (aren't there always?). Toine from Prestige Realty met us in the lobby when we arrived and went over everything we needed to know, giving us restaurant advice, and becoming our unofficial concierge. We had to call him quite a few times: the box spring on the king bed was broken, so one side was lower than the other. This was not acceptable. Well, the next day a couple of new box springs were delivered, problem solved. Then there were other minor issues (light bulbs blown out, safe not working due to battery dead, dishwasher detergent caked up from moisture, not enough paper towels, toilet paper...) But I must say, Toine and Rachel solved every problem and could always be counted upon to help.

Oceania was not very crowded; I think there was just one other occupied unit on our floor. The pool was often deserted, there was always a palapa available at the beach, so if you like peace and quiet, this is great. There was a washer/dryer in our unit, very helpful. There were plenty of beach chairs, but what this unit needs is something on wheels to tote them down to beach. We had to put the chairs in the car whenever we wanted to go the beach as the chairs are a bit heavy, but comfortable. There are chairs at the pool already.

We rented a car for the week which we used every single day. Explore Baby Beach, Natural Bridge (gorgeous), Lighthouse, Ostrich Farm (lots of fun), Phillips Zoo, the Aloe Factory (interesting!). The Bosch map Aruba was the best we could find, ordered it online before leaving home. Yet it's not perfect by any means. Aruba is in dire not of cars equipped with GPS! We got lost a lot, but never had an issue finding our way eventually. It's just harder in the dark.

As nice as Oceania was, though, I would opt next time for more of a resort with 24 hour staff and an on-site restaurant. The security at Oceania seemed pretty good, with the guards calling us first if someone wanted to deliver something to us. But other than the security staff, there was no one available save the realtors.

Went over the 4th of july week. Third floor unit. Very nice unit with a view of Eagle Beach and great sunsets. The place was overall rather deserted so if you're looking for peace and quiet than this is a good choice. But if you want a more active or party atmosphere than stay elsewhere in Palm Beach.

Just returned from a month in Aruba! This visit we stayed at the Oceania BC355. The room was very comfortable and lots of space. We were there with our daughter and our two grand-daughters. The views and rooms are exactly as shown on the website. (sometimes I think they lean out on the deck to show you the view of the ocean but not in this case) Toine was there to meet us shortly after we arrived and he showed us the room and explain how everything worked. The security on the grounds is very present and the staff working the grounds are very friendly and do a wonderful job of keeping the entire grounds looking beautiful and clean. There are four pools, three on the side we were on. Each one is a different style. There is a baby pool around 2 ft in depth, a gradual entry pool and a pool that starts at 5 feet. A pool for every taste and beautiful at night with the lights changing colors. The walk across the street to the beach is easy as the traffic in Aruba is minimal.
I would like to share a few things to be aware of.
There is NO SAFE in the room even though it did state that there was in the description. This did matter to us as when you are traveling keeping your documents and money safe is very important. Toine did not seem to see our concerns with this, he felt the security on the resort should give us peace of mind. The COFFEE MAKER is only a two cup capacity!!! This room could sleep 8 what if everyone wanted coffee in the morning??? Luckily I was the only coffee drinker but this is important to be aware of. The BEACH CHAIRS...not so good. We brought them down to the beach once but you were sitting straight up not our idea of a lounge on the beach. We were envious of the people who had lovely beach chairs and wheeled systems for bringing them to the beach. We ended up walking a 20-25 minute walk down to the Divi where there are plenty of beach loungers and no one seems to mind if you use them. On our 2nd to last day we discovered that if you walk to the right for a few yards there is a very friendly man renting chairs for $5 / day! You will know him by his long curly ponytail. Such a nice guy and the best deal ever!! ( I think the beach chairs at Baby Beach were $15/day) He places them for you and when he sees you coming he gets them ready before you even get there! Housekeeping came once a week but we were unsure of the supplies provided. One time you would get more toilet paper and then sometimes we would have to buy it? Laundry detergent was provided on our arrival but not replenished so we had to buy it. The smallest boxes we could find was at the Certified Grocery Store. I think if you rent for the week it would be there. One more tip there are two sets of sheets provided for each bed. In the master, I would suggest switching to the white set. Way better quality, you will get a more comfortable sleeping. I wished I had done that on day one.
The Oceania is a beautiful place to stay...very quite and private. There were times that we felt we were the only people in the resort! We would stay here again!

Room Tip: Rent chairs from the guy on the beach to the right of the resort! No safe in room! If you are more...

Just returned - beautiful, clean facility directly across street from beautiful white sand beach with clear water. Enjoyed our stay in two bedroom and great having kitchen. Recommend renting a car for week. Head to Ling and Sons for groceries. Drive to Baby Beach (must see and great snorkeling), Natural Pool, 4x4 off road in park, Arashi Beach (great snorkeling). Eat dinner at Driftwood downtown. Will definitely return.

I have been to Aruba 6 times over the past 5 years and I have stayed at various hotels. Some family members started staying at the Oceania about 3 years ago so we decided to join them for ten days in a 3 bedroom suite this past January. The room was absolutely amazing and had everything we could possibly need. There was even a washer and dryer, which made it easy to pack a small bag and avoid additional baggage fees at the airport. All in all our trip was amazing and the room was perfect. The roof top jacuzzi wasn't so bad either :) We will absolutely be staying there in the future!

I rented two penthouse condos (4 bedrooms in each) in Oceania Residences for 12 friends and I. Everyone stayed for 5-7 days, and the condos were 2 doors down from each other in the Arashi Building. Both properties were beautifully done--from the basic structure (great open space and high ceilings) to the amenities, furniture, and artwork! Every bedroom had its own bathroom, so everyone was able to move at their own pace. One condo had a rooftop enclosed patio that we adored and used as our central indoor socializing spot.

The entire condo facility was beautiful (great pool, especially beautiful at night) and you can't get any closer than simply walking out of the gate by the pool and crossing the street to the beach. You can call a cab and have it there within minutes or just jump on the bus that stops in front of the property to get around. We did both and got around just fine.

We felt safe at all times and Mario (our property manager) was VERY responsive to any of our questions or needs. Definitely somewhere I'd love to stay again...already checking my calendar for next year!

Went to Oceania with my husband and baby and was really happy with the location. Omaira, the girl in charge in rentals was very kind and helpful. We had a lovely crib for my baby which was ideal. Everything was clean and the apartments felt very safe still easy to get to once you are introduced to the guards etc. The flats also had all the utensils for cookin, towels and even games for the beach. The apartment is very well looked after. We loved it and wouldn't hesitate to go back
