Gaston from the Wonders Hotel sent me here for lunch. It was exactly what I was looking for. Great food, cooked fresh in a quiet little place. Would love to go back for dinner.

We loved it here! The environment was calming and the food was delicious. My husband went to school in the Netherlands and is always on the search for traditional Dutch food. We tried a variety of items, a favorites were the filet americano, fresh mint tea, and croquets.

This little gem is in the city, we stumbled upon it on accident (I'm so glad we did!). There were no tourists in sight when we visited, only locals.

Our only regret is we didn't make it back here for breakfast!

We recently dined at De Suikertuin, on our first trip to Aruba. We had a great breakfast, the service was excellent and both the interior (beutifully restored home) and exterior patio, was tastefully decorated and very inviting. Did not feel like we were in Oranjestad. We would certainly go back.

If you go there you must have a seat outside at their 'garden'. Its in the middle of Oranjestad but you will feel you are at your own backyard. Waiters are nice, coffee is great and food was good too. A must if you want to escape from the crowd of cruise ship tourists.

We ended up at De Suikertuin by happy accident. It was such a delight, with great food and incredibly friendly service. It was also quite nice to have a meal that didn't break the bank. Excellent sandwiches--the curried chicken salad was excellent. I took several cards with me so our friends at our time share could find it--quite a treat!
