I think it must be important to know which of the Divi properties you are choosing. We stayed at the Divi Beach and Golf Resort (RCI trade) and it was fabulous. I think some of the less than stellar reviews must be for different sections of the resort. We had a one bedroom, two bath condo overlooking the infinity pool with the ocean in the distance. The condo was new, clean, fresh, comfortable and spacious. The daily maid service was good. The golf cart service to take you around the resort (it is quite large) was always timely and friendly. We ate at Mulligan's so often it started to seem like home. Luz was our favorite waitress, and we missed her on her day off. Windows is an absolute 5 star restaurant. The front desk personnel and the concierges were helpful and professional. Check in was quick. The beach is just across the main street, but traffic always stops for pedestrians and it was not a problem. There were always empty lounges available and the beach itself is gorgeous. The pool areas are lovely and clean. Towels are always available. And there again were always available lounges. We would definitely recommend this resort, and plan to go again.

What an amazing place to spend a week.
We booked here for our honeymoon, which was also our first trip to Aruba. We went not sure what to expect and we were completely blown away by this place. The staff were hands down some of the best we have ever met, the food was fantastic, the room was spacious, and the grounds were well kept.
We arrived on a Saturday around 3:30 to the resort, and Lorraine checked us in quickly and was very professional and friendly. She gave us a great first impression of the resort. Our room was ready right away.
We did the all inclusive package which I am very glad we did. Our room was in building Birdie 10 and the location was great, right next to the swim up bar, 3 minute walk to Mulligans, and about 5-6 minutes to the beach. Yes you have to cross the road to reach the beach, but it's not a big deal. It's much closer than I expected it to be, based on reviews. We had a beautiful view of the golf course and the ocean. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have slept in, while in the Caribbean. The bathroom shower could use a little updating but nothing to complain about.
We ate at Mulligans mostly, the food was always great and the staff were SO friendly and very personable, especially the girls in the morning such as Susenne and Marlney, although they were all fantastic. Your drink would be replaced before it was empty every time, they paid great attention to us. Service was always fast too, we never waited longer than 15 minutes for a meal.
We also ate at the Red Parrot across the street and can't suggest it enough! Great service, great food and the best view! The palm grill (where you make your own food on your table) was great as well. I would skip Paparazzi though, it wasn't the best in our opinion. We loved Ginger!
The beach here is gorgeous and very spread out. We checked out the high rise section and were glad we didn't book there. The beach in that area is the most beautiful I saw, but it was way too crowded. The beach at the Divi was spacious and there was always somewhere to relax. One thing though, people are inconsiderate and go out at 4 am to place towels on chairs. This is so rude and if you are one of those people, maybe show some respect for other visitors.
The resort is a $9 cab ride to downtown, and also $9 to the high rise section, so it is easy to explore around the island. We also did a tour with ABC and it was the highlight of our trip.
The pools here were always clean, and Steven at the swim up bar was awesome!
There are lizards EVERYWHERE here, which I found really cool, some people might not like them but they don't bother you at all.
I would definitely return to this resort, and plan on it someday. I recommend it very highly to anyone looking for a beautiful, laid back place to relax. It was well worth the price we paid, and the all inclusive was a great option for us. We still went and checked out other places, you aren't confined to the resort by picking AI. Note though, that even though you are AI, they will make you sign off on the bill for food and drinks while there. It will be stamped AI and you do not get billed, but it is how they keep track. This threw me off at first, but it is normal so expect it.
The weather in Aruba is beautiful year round, there is no "best time" to go. It is the same in August as it is in January, HOT. It did not rain at all during our trip, it was cloudy some days and always had a warm breeze which was MUCH needed. On the occasion the wind dies down, you feel it right away and want it back! The wind was never strong during our stay.
We walked to the Alhambra casino and shopping area, the casino wasn't my thing but the shopping area was outdoors and nice to spend time at. We enjoyed the Fusion piano bar located there. We walked back at night and did not feel unsafe at all.
Although we were all inclusive, the fridge in the room isn't stocked. They did bring us a bucket with beer, wine, and pop on our first day, but that was it. Which is fine with us, we didn't spend much time in our room.
Thank you to everyone at the Divi who made our honeymoon an amazing experience we will never forget!

Room Tip: Birdie 10 is a great location

We own a Villa timeshare here. It's a spacious studio. The grounds are beautifully kept. The pools are a wonderful place to relax. They will be redoing the inside of the Villas starting in May, which is well needed. We purchase the all-inclusive and so happy with it. It's pricey but well worth the ease of use.

We stayed in one of the timeshare condos. The main bathroom was huge, nice and spacious condo. The place for sure needs some TLC, really not very clean and could use a big scrubbing. If I was an owner, I would be very upset about things not being kept up.

Crazy that you cant get a fresh towel for the beach/pool when you want one. I don't know how many times we went to exchange our towels to have no one there to help us. Would have been nice to just be able to pick one up whenever.

We had to beg for fresh bathroom towels, the maids would come and pick up but not replenish.

I slept on the pullout couch and really was pretty comfortable.
We enjoyed the outside deck, the quiet pool and rooftop hut tub.

FYI, bring mosquito spray. They were really bad at the bar, restaurant area. Couldn't believe how many bites I came home with. The $12.00 I spent on Aruba repellent was a waste, it didn't help at all.

We found the bartender to be very unfriendly and not inviting. We still hung out there since it was convenient. Jimmy's across the street was so much more fun and friendly. The food was on the spendy side but pretty good.

Had the worst facial I have ever had at the spa, so that was a waste of $115.00.

The beach is beautiful and right across the street so only a little walk.

Went with a group of friends on our first trip to Aruba. Since none of us had been before, we were not sure if it was better to stay in the high rise or low rise area. Having just spent 1 week on the island, we all agree that the low rise area is much better an the Divi Village is a great resort. Several pools to lounge by and we never had any problem finding 6 chairs together. The beach was just across the street and it was much nicer than Palm and Eagle beaches. In fact, after we went to the Palm Beach once we decided that the beach by the Divi was much better. Palm Beach is way too crowded and seemed like spring break. Druif Beach next to the Divi was much more spacious and less crowded. The rooms at the Divi Village were great. We booked a 1 bedroom suite. All of our friends had different rooms and layouts, but all 3 rooms were very nice. I loved having the space to spread out. Much better than staying in just a hotel room. I would highly recommend the Divi Village to anyone going to Aruba.

We stayed here with young children and the property has an array of great pools for them to swim in. The restaurant on the golf course is good as well. This property is down the road a bit from the central part of Aruba, where all the main attractions, hotels, resorts and restaurants are. It is not on the beach but the golf property it is on is very nice and well maintained. Staff is reasonably helpful but not the greatest I have experienced. Beautiful beach across the street that requires about 5 or 10 minutes of a walk depending on where you are on the property. We stayed in a one bedroom condo with 2 baths and a pull out for our daughter, and the kitchen was well maintained. All in all very comfortable.

Some notes on Aruba itself: great place to visit but realize that the water may be cold if you visit during North American winters. The water is warmest between May and October. You are really taking a chance on very cold water between November and April. Beautifully blue though and the beach is excellent to run or walk on. The central town of Aruba has nice places to eat, good coffee and shops, and is generally pretty touristy. If you rent a car, realize that the car rental companies really take advantage of you in Aruba. We rented a bomb from Thrifty and it was literally a piece of junk, and looked like one, but it got us around. We went to the light tower at the end of the strip and that is certainly something to see. I've included some photos of the restaurant there and the sunset. Aruba is a good destination for families or couples, just go during the right time of year as its not always warm.

I usually stay at Divi Village every year for New Years. This year I got stuck after a snow storm hit the US. I went back to Divi and talked to a manager, Carol. She was able to find a room for me to stay until I could fly out the next week. The whole staff was very kind to all the people stranded. They really rolled out the welcome mat and made every one comfortable. I hope I get stuck again next year!

Room Tip: I love the back area near the tennis courts. There is a pool there that is very nice. It is a quie...
