Spent a week in a 1BR in Birdie IX via RCI exchange. Check in was smooth at 6pm, I can't say that the front desk was too informative, but we figured everything out, just fine. All the shuttle drivers and bellman were friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful, the beach is amazing, beautiful pools too. The 1 BR had some shabby furniture, despite the remodeled kitchen, with a few extra touches it would be a solid 4 star, but it missed the mark on a few things. Upon check in, we had only one towel, a broken coffee pot with glass on the counter still, a broken light in the kitchen, no linens for the pullout, a wallplate with no blowdrier, some loose and random fixtures, furniture is scratched and old, BUT we came to be in Aruba. A few calls to housekeeping and things were better. Since we exchanged and this was a bonus trip, there really is nothing to complain about, but just making some observations. Had I paid the full price for the trip and room, I'd be disappointed. The rooms were different in their upkeep and furnishings. Since we had a late flight, we had to checkout at noon, but they allowed us to shower and get dressed in the late afternoon in a hospitality room at no cost. This room had leather chairs and newer, non wicker furnishings, which made the place more upscale compared to the wicker. Again, the grounds, golf course, pools and beach were beautiful, so spend your time outside as we did. No problems getting a tiki hut on the beach, whenever we went, same as for lounge chairs. The beach is quiet compared to the high rise area, which was perfect to relax on and not have the crowds. We ate at Barefoot, Flying Fishbone, El Gaucho, Texas de Brasil, and enjoyed the food. Should you wish to rent a car, skip it, take the tour via ABC tours off road to beach baby, see the sights, and have a lot of fun with the tour guides. We shopped at Ling and Sons, by taking the free shuttle to the end of the Tamarijin and then walked across the street. The cashier called us a cab to take us back to the Villa. All in all had a beautiful week, in a beautiful place.

Room Tip: On the golf course was nice as it was quiet with a nice view of the ocean. Rooms have either wicker or leather furniture, all have remodeled kitchens with granite.

We rented a privately owned condo in this resort. The grounds here are gorgeous and well maintained. There were two pool areas and nice restaurants and a convenient gift shop all on the property. The employees there were very helpful and friendly. They had golf cart shuttles available to take you to other properties such as theTamarijn or Alhambra Casino. Manchebo Beach was a short walk across the street. This was our favorite beach. The wind was a tad stronger but had a lot less people than Palm and Eagle Beach. The Ling and Sons grocery store was nearby right around the corner and it was a quick drive to the Palm Beach area. We were very happy with our stay here, It was quiet and relaxing but not too far from the action either.

Arrived on a Sunday to find stores closed at 2pm, so we couldn't even buy coffee. The unit (with kitchen) was clean but tired. Would have been nice to have had a couple of coffee filters so we wouldn't have to buy a whole package for a few day stay. Beach and pool were just steps away and well maintained. Lots of chairs, but people "reserved" them either late at night or very early in the morning. By 8am, they all had towels/books but no people. Resort says towels will be removed if chairs not used, but that was not enforced. We were able to walk the beach, but not sit out unless we wanted to sit in the sun. There is no internet access in the rooms as advertised. You had to walk to the lobby (not in the complex....down the road past another resort and across the street). Because I needed continuous access due to my job, I spent a lot of time walking through parking lots. It was three days before coming across a sign that indicated there were daily activities. It would be nice if this information was available at check-in, along with a map of the property. We did not realize there were several buildings in this property when making the reservation. We were not given any information about the shuttle service and had no idea where they went.

Room Tip: Some of the units had balconies with railings so you could sit and look out. The end unit has a solid block, so if you it out there you can only see the sky and treetops (because it was closed in, it was also stuffy).

Just got back from a week stay at this property. In the past we have stayed at the Tamarijn or Dutch Village and this property was a nice change. The two bedroom condo we rented was great. The free WiFi was a nice touch as well. Made it very easy to communicate with our family via FaceTime back in the US. The weather is perfect, the people are friendly...a good time was had by all! Can't wait to to back!!

Our first trip to Aruba & Divi Village Resort and we had a grand time. The hotel and grounds are just beautiful! The beaches are amazing and the staff are super nice and friendly! There are shuttles that run all the time to get you to anywhere on any of the other Divi resorts or Casino and there are pools all over the resort. The restaurants on the grounds are just okay but most times we preferred to eat off the resort. I would definitely recommend this resort to someone that wants to just lay back, take it easy and just enjoy!
