“Visit #4 and Can't Wait to Book 2015!”
Reviewed 18 July 2014

This was our 4th consecutive visit to Divi Village, and our vacations just keep getting better and better! I cannot wait to book our 2015 trip, and we will be returning again to Divi Village.

Beginning with the taxi ride from the airport (you must have Bully the taxi driver!) to Ryan behind the front check-in desk, I knew that our fourth visit was going to be the best one yet. Ryan provided us with a beeper, since we arrived early and our room was not ready yet. The beeper went off at around 1.5 hours after we received it. How awesome! The new beeper concept was a great idea.

Visit the Sea-breeze for a light lunch or one of their dinner specials. You must ask for Raphael or Gomara...two of the best servers on the planet! We look forward to seeing them every year, and keep in contact with them during the year. These two folks are def what gives Aruba the "One Happy Island" moniker. Have Shirley fix you a piña colada, and don't miss happy hours with Jimmy over at the Ocean View. Cocktail party on Tuesdays ....must do!

Visit Mulligans for the best Fish Burger around, and don't miss breakfast ...ask for Jennifer to wait on you ....she's the best!

Our room at the Divi always meets our greatest expectations, and I do request a certain room each year. Although we haven't been able to get the exact room each year, the Divi folks have always accommodated us with either the room next door, next to above or below our requested room. How can you beat that?!!

I give Divi Village 5 out of 5 and a couple of ++++,s too!

Have Bully the taxi driver take you back to the airport.....

There's no place like a Divi Village ....and it takes the people who work there to make it a "village".

Great place to stay; you won't be disappointed!

Room Tip: If you like being on the golf course, ask for a room overlooking the course. If you like to be by t...

We stayed here because it's part of the RCI group for which happens to be related to my Hilton time share. We waited several hours for our room to be ready, and the desk staff didn't bother to let us know that our room number had actually changed, so we waited several more hours!! Not a good way to start our vacation.

The room was not bad, but we avoided the private rooftop hot tub as it was a little scary looking. The room was clean and nice overall, and pretty quite I'd say. It was spacious for sure. No complaints!

We ate at one of the onsite restaurants, and it was pretty good for lunch. The beach, across the street, was also nice. The pools were ok as well but the iguana had my girlfriend fairly freaked out so we spent more time at the beach than the pools.

The location was good; not too far from anything. I erroneously rented a car from the onsite Avis; I know I overpaid dearly, but we enjoyed having a car.

When I return to Aruba, I will probably try a different resort just to "switch it up". I don't think I'd try to talk anyone out of staying here, but I probably wouldn't fully recommend it either. The check in debacle really frustrated me on the first day of vacation. I'm certain there were dozens of other couples also similarly frustrated.

We have been here with our family for 2 weeks and had a great time.
The resort offers to everyones desire.
Since a lot of the rooms a timeshare there are a lot of seniors
The rooms are big and very well utilized and perfect for a family with 2 kids.

The location is at one of the nicest beaches of Aruba and since there is a shuttle train, you are able to travel to the other partner hotels and the Alhambra shopping center...

I have gone twice in the past 4 years. Its a great location. not next to the high rises, but close enough for a $6-7 cab ride. The beach isnt crowded and the pools are pretty good. Again this is great since we dont have to race to the beach each morning to get chairs. we can be on our own schedule. So much to do in Aruba. Great time. Last went April 2013

We are frequent Iberostar travelers but thought we would try the Divi Village because we had never been to Aruba. We will stick with Iberostar. The staff at the Divi was not friendly which surprised us. I think because the resort is both all inclusive and not all inclusive is the problem. We went all inclusive. You have to sign a bill for everything. Constantly being forced to tip. The bartenders at the pool do not even speak to you - you just have to say what you want. The woman at the driving range was rude - would not get up to want to give us a club. We stayed in a studio with a pullout couch for the kids. The pullout was dreadful - bar in your back. A couple days in we had to get a second mattress. The all inclusive only included in your room about 4 sodas - not even water. You have to ask a server at a restaurant for bottle water to come back to your room. The pool and beach does not have a life guard. Two mornings when ordering fruit they were without any fruit. Two days they had no straws at the bars. There is not any server that comes around the pool to offer drinks. The room sounds like a freight train going through it because it is the windy season and it howls through the doors. On a positive side, the weather is fabulous, low 80s and breezy with no rain. A few servers were very nice in Mulligans - especially Adrianna.

Room Tip: All rooms have a good view. I suggest you do not use the pullout couch and have beds for everyone.

Having reviewed your commentary on your recent stay with us, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for notifying us of your observations. As a resort dedicated to providing superior customer service, we continually strive to best serve our customers during their stay with us. When our efforts fail to meet expectations, it is important that the matter to be brought to our attention so that it can be corrected as soon as possible.

Our efforts in regard to staff training have proven fruitful, as evidenced by the glowing remarks rendered within this site and we appreciate the accolades placed onto our staff and others on the property. Of course, there are those that require a bit more intensive training, and the observations made by our guests and patrons will allow us to continue reinforcing the basic aspects of Customer Service to those who’re most in need.

We apologize for the inconvenience and frustration that you experienced while with us. Please know that your issue with the tips being asked for repeatedly is Aruba's policy and not ours. Also, the beaches in Aruba are public beaches and thus Divi unfortunately cannot staff it with lifeguards. Despite not being pleased with our resort, we do hope that the remainder of your stay on island was pleasant enough and that you were able to return home with favorable memories of your stay on Aruba. We do hope you will visit us again!

We used a friend's timeshare, staying in Building 3, right behind the Sea Breeze Cafe. We arrived around 5pm and had no trouble checking in. The first two nights we stayed in a studio, which was very nice. Although, it just wasn't working with two toddlers and naptime, so we upgraded to a 1 bedroom. The 1bedroom was very spacious. Plenty of room for a family of 4. It was nice to have the kitchen area as well. We went to the grocery store and stocked up on simple breakfast and lunch items, eating in most days. For dinner, we ventured out most nights.

The property is well maintained and very clean. My kids loved the "water slide pool". Packed a small cooler and took it with us to the pool each day.

My only complaint is the beach. Most days it was so windy, that you would get sandblasted laying on the beach. The surf was also rocky and rough. My kids really couldn't even enjoy the beach.

We love this property because the location is away from the high rise hotel district and not very busy. The beach is right across the street and easy to access. The property is very well kept with a big pool and water slide for fun. Our unit is very comfy and well kept. We were there to see the fireworks, went to the top of the building where we have grills and hot tubs for the owners pleasure, which we are. I sat out on the balcony in the morning enjoyed my coffee and it is so peaceful. We soaked up some sun on the beach, enjoyed the amenities of the property like the weight room and I played in the video arcade. The visit to Aruba is so peaceful and distressing. Will be back DIVI real soon!!!!
