I stayed there for a week in December 2012 while I was in Aruba to learn Kitesurfing, and it was just perfect. Few minutes walk from Fisherman's Huts beach (kitesurfing spot). It is private, clean and comfortable.
I will certainly go back.

Villa Punta Salina was a great find. I stayed in the Mango apartment for $95 / night. An awesome hideaway from the busy hi-rise hotel scene but less than a 5 minute drive from the beach. This little retreat was private, convenient and met all of my needs. The apartment has a full kitchen, safe, bedroom, bathroom, and tv. There's a BBQ grill just outside your front stoop and an in-ground pool if you want to take a break from the beach. Olivier and Millie were great! I would definitely return.

Some tips: The rooms have air conditioners but I often left the door open for a good breeze. The apartment holds heat. Keep your door closed after 5pm - the mosquitoes are very present.

The shower is TINY and the water often leaks to the ground. So - just put the towel down and it will all work itself out. Also, since this is not a hotel, there is no maid service during your stay. If you need clean towels or an iron, though, just ask.

You will have to send your deposit for the room via Western Union. Remember to give Olivier's middle name (Edward) and to get the transaction number. He will need it to pick up the payment. You will also have to pay the balance in cash. He doesn't take credit cards.

We just got back from Aruba and missing it already! Villa Punta Salina was such a nice little oasis away from the hustle & bustle of the touristy High Rise Hotels and yet close enough to everything you need! The property is really clean, well-kept and quiet. There's a nice pool (with jets) that's cleaned daily and a grill! We stayed in Iquitos which sits on the corner and has a really nice bathroom. The kitchenette was great because we could make breakfast sandwiches everyday in our own little hut. The kitchenette is outdoors so make sure you don't leave food out. We left a bag of bread outside overnight and a little mouse got to it! There's AC, a separate fan, bath towels and beach towels provided. There are two closets. The glass sliding doors were great and let a lot of light in and has two set of curtains to keep the sun out and have privacy.

We rented a car (highly recommend to see all the different beaches and sights in Aruba) and were only a short drive away from SuperFood (the only Dutch supermarket), Arashi Beach, California Lighthouse, and especially close (1 min. drive) to Marriott hotel and the Palm Beach Mall/Plaza where all the restaurants and "nightlife" happens. Olivier and Milly also provide beach chairs for you to take with you which is really nice. The location really can't be beat, especially for the price you're paying!

Cons: The mosquitos (they always managed to get inside the room no matter how many we killed) and despite the bug zapper that hung outside. But I'm sensitive to mosquitos so they bite me no matter where I am. Overall, the mosquitos aren't that bad compared to other tropical destinations. The kitchenette could be cleaned and stocked a bit - there were coffee grinds that mice had gotten into and we had to buy our own dish soap and napkins...not sure if that should be included or not but we just bought them from the store and left it for future guests anyway. The beds are European style (two twin beds pushed together) and they kept sliding apart which made it hard to sleep at night because you felt like you were going to fall into a crack!

Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely return. Olivier & Milly were really nice hosts and we felt like we got to experience the island like a true local.

We stayed at the Villa in Jan 2013 and hated to leave. It is the prefect spot to call home while in Aruba. Olivier and Milly are great hosts and always there to answer any questions. We stayed in the Mango Apartment which is fully equipped to handle all your cooking needs. Rented a car so we were able to access many beaches. Milly and Olivier supply beach towels, beach chairs and coolers so day trips were easy. Great spot to head home for a quick swim and some refreshments before supper. Spent many an evening out on the patio. Remember to bring bug spray as there are mosquitoes in the evening but not enough to keep you indoors. Couldn't ask for anything more!

My Wife and I had the great fortune of picking Villa Punta Salina as our home for the month of Feb./2012. This was our first visit to aruba , and as it turned out it was in a perfect location for us. 10 minute walk to the bus stop, palm beach and the high rise hotel area. We stayed in the Mango House at Villa Punta Salina and were very happy with its layout, full kitchen seperate bedroom and bathroom. My wife and I did alot of exploring in aruba and it was always nice at the end of the day to get back to our little patch of paradise at Punta Salina and have a few drinks and a swim in the pool. Oliver + Mily are two of the nicest people you could ever meet and were always willing to answer any questions or look into any problems you might have. Oliver and Mily even cooked up the fish we caught one evening on the barbaque with jumbo shrimp, salad and wine. If you are looking for clean, private location in a very quite residential neighborhood Villa Punta Salina is for you. Thank You Oliver + Mily for your hospitality and we hope to see you again some day.---RON+Theresa

Ourt first visit to Aruba and our son had booked us into Punta Salina, where he had stayed twice before. Warm welcome - with a cold beer - from Olivier and Mily. On the first evening he got us a table at Wacky Wahoo's, where you can't get in without reserving well in advance, when he had a chat with the owner. Rooms at Punta Salina are very clean and comfortable. We "lived local" for several days, shopping at the local stores and barbequing in the garden. Mily and Olivier are the nicest people you would want to meet. Go back? Definitely. 10+ out of 10
