“What happened??”

We visit this restaurant every year we're in Aruba and this year was no different. We're a bit taken back by how quiet this side of the street was and the fact that there was barely any customers sitting outside or anything happening at this or any of the restaurants around Cafe Rembrandt. we sat down and found out that the restaurant had new owners...The food was good, but there was no atmosphere or music to encourage you to stay a bit longer and maybe have another glass of wine or even desert... This was one of our favorite places and it could still be if the new owners invest on making the place a bit more welcoming and livelier.

“Good comfort food.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 June 2013 via mobile

We wanted to try different styles of cooking while on our trip so tonight it was Dutch. Disappointed that the pot roast was not "ready" even though it was 8:30 or so when we sat down to eat but the server was very friendly and the food was simple but good. We ordered and shared the ceasar salad, the Boeren Schnitzel, the Weiner Schnitzel and the Crispy Fried Trout. The Boeren Schnitzel with bacon, onions & mushrooms was more flavorful than the traditional Weiner Schnitzel. All dishes were served on top of cauliflower which even the cauliflower haters in the party enjoyed and the caribbean rice on the side was not spicy but was good. We had chocolate cake and apple pie for dessert which were both simple and delicious. A nice, safe meal and a good experience overall.

“Nice outdoor seating with great service.”

We wanted an outdoor eating establishment and stumbled upon the Rembrandt. We each had the French onion soup. I had chicken and my companion had pot roast. Both of us thought the food was just ok. Nothing to write home about, but with the service and atmosphere, we enjoyed ourselves. There was a small language barrier and we don't speak Spanish. Overall we enjoyed ourselves and fairly priced.

“GREAT FOOD”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 May 2013

Just came back from a 2 week vacation - ate at Rembrandt 4 times!
The fish & chips is to die for - delicious onion soup, and the grouper is out of this world. Great waiter, asked for him every time. Nice eating outdoors with the Aruba breeze. Can't wait to go back. Great place, very reasonably priced & lots of food.

Second year eating here. Under new management and as good as ever. Great onion soup. Reasonably priced food and nice atmosphere. Our waiter was very efficient, friendly and informative. Very relaxing eating outside.
