I've enjoyed the LaQuinta Beach Resort stays at least 7 times. I've shared my place with other family members or sisters friends when I was unable to go, The place sleeps 6. We share a 2 bedroom Phase II, which I own the suite part for 2. The rooms all have been remodeled since we bought. The maintenance and upkeep are exceptional. Rooms are very spacious and clean. The staff is VERY friendly. The beach is very private and not over crowded; also the beach attendant knows everyone who stays there and tends to you by putting out the chairs as you arrive. That includes a friendly greeting each day too. We see the same people every year... and WOW ... so close to home. We go all the way to Aruba to see people who live in our local area. The BEST INVESTMENT I could have ever made.... My second home, my home away from home... and the office staff reminds me every year when I check in with "WELCOME HOME!" I LOVE it and look forward to going BACK HOME next year!! Karen H.

My husband and I have been owners at LaQuinta for 5 years now. We love this place, we also have a Divi timeshare, which we have not used since purchasing LaQuinta. We are in Phase 1 which is like our own private community. We see the same people every year. The staff could not be more accomodating. Just like everyone else said if there is a problem it is fixed immediately. The rooms are immaculate. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The beach is the best kept secret on the island. Cocoi is the best. Irwins drinks are delicious!! We can't wait to get back there this September.

My wife and I arranged for a rental via an owner. In my first review on Sept 2006 I stated this place was a great place for lounging around and relaxing. It still is. The staff from the front desk Arlyn and Darwin to housekeeping are all great. It's a small property that makes you feel welcomed and appreciated. I don't get the reviewers who complained about La Quinta. My guess is that they were looking for a five star resort which La Quinta isn't. My only two problems were that the floor was dirty at check in. I asked my housekeeper to mop the floor the next day and the problem was fixed. The other was that there are no Do Not Disturb signs. Housekeeping kept trying to open the door when we were relaxing in the room. A Do Not Disturb sign would have helped.
There is a kitchen in the unit which helped to cut down on costs since we were able to make a good breakfast each day. There are two phases of La Quinta. Phase1 which is older but closer to the beach. (We like this phase better) and Phase2 which has newer units and is closer to the bar.
Eagle Beach is right across the road and La Quinta has a person there to set up your chair and to keep the area clean. We rented a car and drove around the island when we wanted to do something other than resting on the beach. The beach is quiet and not crowded.
The last time I raved about two restaurants Madame Jeanette and the Bucaneer. Both places have gone down in food quality since my last visit in 2006. We were very disappointed. We did find another nice place called the Driftwood which is located in town. The owner fishes everyday and what he brings back is the catch of the day. The food and service are both good.
If you want a nice quiet and relaxing place try La Quinta you won't be disappointed.

Have to say first that we traded a Marriott timeshare for this week thru Interval International, and I didn't expect it to be as nice, but...........we were in the 2nd building and the view from our LR was awful - a dreary construction site - could barely see the ocean. Had to keep the curtains closed anyway to keep the AC working properly. Amenities: restaurant, live entertainment, bar/cocktail lounge - no entertainment, the one night they were to bring a group in was cancelled for lack of sign ups - a small outdoor bar and a few tables was it. I think it would have been much better to stay in building 1 - the pool area was cozy and beautiful - building 2 pool had one palm tree at one end - very stark. Glad we brought enough cash to avoid the 4% surcharge on their fees. I guess all timeshare units charge the Aruba tax - for a 1BR it was 8.12/day, plus they charged us $6/day for Utilities - along with the $20 we had to spend at the bar/cafe. This all added up and contributed to our disappointment. Also, directions to the resort should have been more explicit - Aruba doesn't have street signs, but they can easily say to take the first right after XXX resort - it was a real struggle to find the place.
Not impressed with Aruba - the roads are very bad - and not much to see. Beaches were great but we get this at home (FL). It is extremely WINDY in Aruba, so sitting at the beach was not that pleasant. Come to SW FL if you want a nice beach.
Have to say the staff was very pleasant and the place was clean - we slept comfortably - rooms, although not decorated beautifully, were spacious, We could hear our neighbors talking through the wall however. The outdoor jacuzzi on our deck was not a highlight - it was an indoor tub - and I've already mentioned the view of the construction site - how dreary. We won't be going back - my husband is telling everyone that we spent a year in Aruba last week.

This resort (condo) is located between the low raise and high rise hotels in Aruba. Very well maintained and staffed. We stay in Phase I - these are two, two story buildings with a pool and patio seating area. First floor units have their own patio with two chairs & table along with two lounge chairs, The second floor units have a balconly. Each unit has a front and rear entrance. Very quite and relaxing. Phase II has a larger pool with chaise chairs in the sun and shade along with a pool bar for great drinks and food. A very short walk (approx 200 yards) to beautiful Eaglel Beach. La Quinta has there own private beach with thatched umbrella stands. As soon as you step foot on the beach there is a gentleman bringing you your chairs (no waiting, no paying, just tipping). Always a great spot on the beach with pleaty of room between you and other guests. (I read some of the high rise reviews - they suggest you BUY a space on the beach when you arrive - it's and extra cost not included in the room price). They also said you should get up at 5:30 am and put your towel on a chair to reserve it for that day). That's crazy!!!! There is a restaurant on the premises at La Quinta, The Screaming Eagle, good food. with a bar. There is an ArubaBus stop directly in front the the resort to get to the high rise district or to the capital city ($2.30 round trip). It's nice to come home in the evening and have your own patio to relax with some cocktails and good cigars. Hell, some of the high rise reviews said they had a balony but not big enough for chairs, jusr to stand on. Highly reccomend La Quinta for your next Aruba vacation. Can't beat the reasonable rates with your own kitchen, bedroom and living room area; two pools, pool bar and private beach. Did I mention it's in walking distance from the Alahambra Casino and other restaurants!! On your next trip to Aruba please inquire about La Quinta. Many owners rent their units for just their maintenance fees! Average age of guests is 40+
