We stayed at the Bucuti and Tara for our anniversary (first time in Aruba) and I must say I was very impressed.

Check-In: Was quick and easy. We were checked in by a very pleasant young man who offered us champagne and promptly answered all our questions. Within a minute of being there we were also introduced to a lovely woman who we presume was the manager. She welcomed us to the resort with a smile.

Room: We stayed at a standard Bucuti room. Even though I didn't see any of the Tara suites, I was glad we didn't opt for the more expensive room as the standard room was more than we could ask for. I initially found the television in the bathroom a bit over the top, but soon I found myself turning it on and listening to the news during my morning shower.

Beach: The beach is as wonderful as everyone says it is and never packed with people. The water is gorgeous and the sand is soft and white. The chairs are very high quality and the hotel provides towels along with chair covers so no need for binder clips to hold the towels in place! The ladies who served us at the sand bar were absolutely lovely. As mentioned here by others, I never received cold towels and/or frozen fruits while on the beach. Not a big deal, but I think management should be aware of the inconsistencies with that particular beach amenity.

Breakfast: Every day was a new experience. I loved their "special of the day" which consisted of a local favorite which varied day to day. They also had bacon, sausages, eggs, donuts, breads, pancakes, french toast, fruits, hams, cheeses, yogurts, coffee, tea, water, juice, etc. I can't speak on the breakfast at Elements as we only ate at the Tara during our stay. The lady who greeted us everyday at breakfast was very sweet and always had a big smile on her face. She was one of our favorite people and on our last day we said our goodbyes with a great big hug :) We also enjoyed chatting with the manager who would come by the breakfast area everyday to say hello to everyone.

Frank: The hotel's superstar for sure! He greeted us with a smile and was always ready to help out with bags or with a taxi.

Restaurant: We dined at Elements a couple of times and even did the sunset romantic dinner which was lovely. Ricardo was our server and we really enjoyed talking to him. He even remembered us and stopped by our table on another day just to say hello. The food at Elements was good and sometime great-it all depends on what you order.

Overall: The best service we have ever received anywhere. We were very happy to have chosen Bucuti for an unforgettable Aruba experience.

Tip: Do your research and make sure to ask questions at check-in about tours and other activities to do during your stay. Most of the staff seems to leave by 8pm so try to make any payments before that time.

This property met and exceeded our expectations. There were opportunities for small gripes that could be made but they did not affect the overall enjoyment of our stay. We went there to celebrate our 30th anniversary and were not disappointed. The rooms are somewhat basic but we didn't go to a Caribbean island to spend our time in the room. I will agree with others that the toiletries could be upgraded but what was supplied sufficed. The air worked, the beds and pillows were comfortable and the deluxe room was more than adequate.
The beach was wonderful and the availability of chairs and umbrellas at any time was a refreshing change to the norm.
The staff make this place. Never an bad experience with any and Orville on the beach was great. Always there to get a drink or food order and ask how our trip was going. The"Happy Island" was reflected in the employees and the hiring manager is to be commended.
The breakfast buffet exceeded expectations. Lunch was decent and acceptable but not an award winner. The bar had good choice and the prices were as expected. Happy hour was a change from the constant nickel and diming that one usually gets at beach resorts.
Overall out first time in Aruba was wonderful and Bucuti helped accomplish that.

We stayed at Bucuti for 10 nights. It was wonderful. Best staff we have ever encountered. We stayed in many places in Aruba and other islands, by far this place is paradise. Great for couples and alone time. No noise, no screaming kids, always can get a lounge at beach or pool. Very relaxing and food was excellent. Best vacation ever! Will be back next year.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Bucuti tower and it was a standard room. We tried to upgrade but it was sold out...

We just returned from our 20 yr anniversary trip to Aruba. Bucuti was recommended by a friend as a great place to stay. We could not agree more with the rave reviews that were given to us.It all started with the reservations, I had multiple questions which were answered by Julie and Mary-Ann both quickly and with multiple suggestions to make this trip the best we have had. From arriving and Mr. Frank greeting us, to the warm welcome and cool champagne at check in, then having Deborah greet us, everyone made us feel like we were at home. We had a ground level room in the Bucuti wing. This was perfect for us. The room was nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows (almost like they knew I need an absurd amount to sleep with). We ate at the Elements restaurant 3 times during our stay. The first night the dinner was amazing, our server was so sweet and I feel bad I cant remember her name, the second time was for the romantic dinner which was to die for, and the third was our last night there, we couldn't go home without eating there one last time. The sever for those times was Janice and she was excellent, she even remembered us from a few nights before and chatted with us about our stay. I liked that the managers walked around making sure everything was going well with our stay, always making us feel so welcomed and cared for during our stay.Breakfast was great every morning with a wide variety of selections, Manuel greeted us almost every morning and was always so friendly. We had a problem with the wifi connecting in our room close to the end of our vacation, when notified of this the front desk sent an IT guy right away to fix the problem, and the outlet stopped working in the bathroom so within 5 minutes we had maintenance sent to our room, both problems were quickly fixed and then we received a call from the front desk to make sure everything was working ok for us. How fast the issues were taken care of shows the care this hotel puts into its guests. Before we left we were already planning our next trip to Bucuti, even making it a vacation with the friends that recommended it in the first place.

We went here for our honeymoon a few years ago (Aug 12) and I wanted to write a review now as we still recall quite clearly just how excellent our stay was. The hotel itself was stunning and on the nicest beach we have ever seen. The bar and restaurant were both excellent, and we had a great sunset meal in one of the beach gazebos one night (everyone must do this). I really cannot wait to go back and would recommend this as an excellent hotel / honeymoon destination.

My husband and I stayed at Bucuti for our honeymoon. Every single person we encountered who works at the Bucuti and Tara Resorts made our trip special. We stayed in a standard room and had a great view of the ocean from our balcony. We had a romantic dinner on the beach and Ricardo, our waiter, made it so special and wonderful. The food at Elements was delicious and we enjoyed every meal there. We were particularly impressed with the staff who were friendly and helpful - from Mary Ann who checked us in and helped us book our various adventures to Omar and Robert who served us on the beach, we felt welcomed and appreciated. We also loved Sali and Rafael who served us at lunch. Our favorite person at the resort was Frank who gave us great recommendations about things to do, places to eat, and how to relax and enjoy island life. The Bucuti is perfect for couples and romantic vacations - we always were able to find chairs on the beach or at the pool and it was never crowded anywhere in the resort.

We just returned from our honeymoon - and we are SO happy with our stay at Bucuti and Tara. I don't think we would ever stay anywhere else on the island - I feel like nothing would compare. We felt like we could ask them to do anything for us and they would!

We ended up staying in the Bucuti wing with a ground floor garden view room. This was nice because we could walk in through our "balcony" door and not have to go through the hallways. We debated about staying in the Tara Wing- but the price difference was about $1000 and that seemed crazy just to get an ocean view. I can honestly tell you that it really doesn't matter (or didn't for us)- we never felt that we were missing out because we went for the "cheaper" option. We didnt spend much time in the room.

That said - the room was very nice - everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, housekeeping was great, and the bathroom was really nice. The only thing I thought was a bit weird was the door on the bathroom... it was basically a sliding door (no lock or anything), but it didn't give you much privacy in there (either side had gaps that were open to the room basically). There was also a TV in the mirror, which was very cool!

The resort itself is great. We never saw all the beach chairs occupied, and always had a place to sit. The staff at the SandBar was wonderful - we ate lunch here almost every day (some food items are better than others - the tosti sandwiches are minuscule, and I didn't like the ranchero wrap, but the burger, salads, cuban sandwiches, quesadillas are all delicious. Oh and the onion rings!!! Pricey, but delicious.) and the drinks were awesome !!! I've never liked mojitos, but I had about 900 during the week I was here :)

We met a couple staying on the Tara side and they told us they received cold towels on the Tara beach every day. We only received them once, as well as the frozen fruit. I don't know if this has to do with the Tara side being more expensive so they get different service?

We ate breakfast at the resort every day (included in the price) and it was great. Bagels, omelets, eggs, a daily special, donuts, croissants. All delicious!

All in all, it was a wonderful stay and the staff was very nice. I don't think we'd ever stay anywhere else other than the Bucuti when going to Aruba!

The front desk staff was very friendly - we asked them a couple times to call and make reservations for our dinner, and they

Thank you for your wonderful comments - we wish you a continued Honeymoon.
As to the cold towels we serve on the beach, we do so around noon every day and will investigate as to the reason you did not receive yours.
We are happy to read that you thoroughly enjoyed this momentous occasion - your honeymoon with us and hope to serve you again sometime soon.
