This is probably the third time, I have stayed at Newstead, and it just keeps getting better. The service, is impeccable, nothing, is too much trouble.
It was a busy holiday weekend, in Bermuda, and swimming in the infinity pool, overlooking the Harbour, was a delight, with all the pleasure craft, on the water.
The suite was delightful, with its own garden, and a very comfortable bed.
I will definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Request, one with a garden, they all have fabulous views, but a garden, is like, an extra room.

We've just returned from a truly fantastic stay at the Newstead Belmont Hills hotel and I would just like to echo what the other reviewers are saying. It is a modern, clean, friendly, conveniently situated hotel and our one bedroom suite was perfect for our family stay. (2 adults, 2 teens)

Our family (myself, my husband and our two sons) stayed at the Newstead Belmont Hills for six days and five nights the July 2014. The room was huge with a lovely balcony. There was a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave and dishwasher. Not only was the service exceptional, but the physical plant and golfing were outstanding. The infinity pool allowed for a magnificent view of Hamilton Harbor. The free ferry to Hamilton was quick and efficient. We golfed twice in six days and enjoyed the Belmont Hills Course. The shuttle to the airport was timely and comfortable. We will make this an annual event.

One final note, Denzelle Swan, one of the young women at the front desk was outstanding. She contacted us a week before we arrived to ask if there were anything she could do for us before our arrival. To that end, she arranged a day of fishing/snorkeling/paddleboarding/kayaking for our boys. She also greeted us upon our arrival and asked if there were anything else she could set up for us during our stay. This was an exceptional vacation.

We stayed in a one bedroom suite and as others have mentioned, the kitchenette is great for snacks and breakfasts. This is an expensive island and purchasing some in room supplies (e.g., wine, beer, bagels, jams, etc.) is one way to make it a bit more affordable. The room was modern and clean; and the patio offered lovely views of the harbor. Or should we say: Harbour. The shuttle service to the beach and into Hamilton was great. This is a convenient location because Hamilton is a 5 minute ferry ride and from there, you can catch the ferry or the bus to all other parts of the island. Staff was wonderful -- we didn't have any complaints that needed to be addressed but their friendliness and hospitality indicated any issues would be rectified quickly. A few nights, we had after dinner drinks and dessert at Beau Rivage overlooking the water - that was nice. Overall, I would recommend this hotel and if we come back, we would stay here again.

We had an amazing stay at the Newstead. The hotel itself was conveniently located right across from Hamilton with a ferry running regularly. Their shuttle was very convenient too taking you to several nearby restaurants at night, and the beach during the day. The staff could not be more accommodating, and went out of their way to make everything perfect for us. The in-suite kitchen was great, and we ended up buying some breakfast/lunch supplies to keep on hand as eating out on the island adds up quickly, even at the most casual spots. We will definitely be back!

Room Tip: Ask for a high floor--the views are better, and the ceilings are higher.

Our stay at the Newstead was very nice. The room was large and comfortable and the view from the balcony spectacular. Service was top notch and very friendly especially B A at the pool bar. Although the hotel was sold out there appeared to be very few guests which was somewhat of a disappointment. We also thought the hotel was a little sterile. Location was terrific with everything just a 5-10 minute ride on the scooter. We ate at Blu one night and although the atmosphere was really great the food was at best mediocre. We would not recommend it at all. Overall our stay was great and would probably consider it again for a return trip

We stayed for a 6 night stay in early summer with our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children). There are rare occasions when I walk into a hotel room and have absolutely no complaints. This was one of them. The one bedroom suite was large, spotless, and modern. A small kitchen provided ample resources to be able to comfortably make easy meals (which you really should consider if you're going to Bermuda to reduce cost). The view from the balcony was nothing short of amazing and made eating in a pleasure. The king bed in the bedroom was large and comfortable. The bathroom had a large jacuzzi tub and a separate shower. We asked for a roll-away bed for our son and it was already in place and made up when we arrived. It was more than ample for our 10 year old and our 7 year old slept comfortably on the pull out sofa.

From start to finish, we found the service to be friendly and accommodating. The hotel made arrangements to pick us up and the driver was waiting upon our arrival. When our toilet clogged, maintenance arrived quickly to "fix" the problem. When we ran out of dishwashing soap, they responded to our request for more. More towels....not a problem. They really do deserve high marks for our responsiveness. The only thing that was refused was a late checkout (I actually think we could have argued this, but in the end we were invited to shower in the spa so that we could use the pool prior to our departure).

From an amenities point of view, the infinity pool is small but beautiful. There is a separate jacuzzi. The exercise room was well stocked. The golf course is off site and beautiful---although we did not play....I wish I did. The hotel has a separate arrangement with a hotel down the road for beach privileges. We used that beach once and found it comfortable---although there are clearly better beaches on the island. In the end, I would have no hesitations about staying at this hotel again and I would highly recommend it to others. A few warnings though:

1) Bermuda is as expensive as advertised. If you plan in advance, you can limit costs--We ate a the hotel restaurant only once---it was excellent and reported to be one of the best on the island---but it did cost a small fortune. A couple of Italian pizza places in town were cheaper--but bringing food with you---frozen steaks, Burgers, etc. can save you significant money.
2) The nearest grocery store is about 20 minutes walk downhill---which means you're carrying groceries back uphill unless you can find a ride. It would be nice if the hotel offered this as a service----but I get it--they want you eating in the restaurants.
3) There is no beach directly at this facility---you do need to take the free shuttle to the other resort. We did wait about 1/2 hour for the shuttle upon our return.
4) The water taxi that is advertised into Hamilton only runs selectively. It is nice when it runs--otherwise it is a $15 cab ride.
5) Finally, it is important to take heed of the cruise ship schedule. When there are 2 boats on island, there are an additional 6000 people headed to the same destinations as you. This is particularly important at Horseshoe Bay and the Caves-----If you stay away from these places, you'll miss a some beautiful spots---but you can find solitude away from the crowds. Try to hit these spots when the cruise ships are not in.

All in all, I can't complain
