Although it is a Hilton, and it isn't an island inn, we've continued to rely on this property for our visits to Barbados. The rooms are more than comfortable (we stayed on the ocean side 7th floor executive level). Food is fair to average at the Water's Edge (really cater to tourists with all the standard eats, burgers, fries, chicken fingers, nachos) Food is better at the Lighthouse, although the selection is limited.
The freshwater pool is ideal, especially for kids as they don't need goggles and their eyes don't burn. The ocean is superb, with decent sized waves for fun riding and the softest sand. Chairs and umbrellas are set up and waiting for you.
They have a camp for kids and the attendants are very caring and involved (complementary service). They do have Xbox and Wii, but they try to engage the kids with crafts and activities.
Service is typical Bajan friendliness. We're scheduled to return in November, and we know we will be greated with a smile.More
