My first time cruising on the Jolly Roger after 24 years! Loved it so much, very special memories, that I decided to treat my daughter for her 13th birthday. She loved it! The atmosphere was lively, friendly. My daughter enjoyed the idea of snorkeling and swimming with turtles - although there were no turtles to be seen.

However, the crew only appeared interested in conversing with the European 'single' ladies. Also, the food was bland and gave me a tummy ache. Definitely not like it was when I was younger. Reminiscing, the food was tasty, delicious and you were encouraged to eat as much as you liked!

Overall, the music catered for all types of party goers, with a diffusion of sounds. Was an entertaining lunch excursion.

This was the second time we were on this ship. This time we took some friends and family. As usual, it was a lot of fun. They even married my husband and I on board, pirate style. We only saw one turtle this time, but one is better than none! The ship wreck was really cool.
The most fun is diving off the plank and the rope swing.
Just a fun, fun experience, especially when you are with a group that likes to dance to the loud music and drink endless amounts of rum!

We checked in at 9:30 AM and the inclusive 5-hour long happy hour started immediately. Those pirates can sure make some great Rum Punch and the local Banks beer wasn't bad either! We boarded the ship on time and the crew made us feel right at home. The ship can hold almost 300 people but our group was only about 60 so there was plenty of space for all to be really comfortable. The first stop was a ship wreck/snorkel spot. The water was a bit rough and the site was a good 300 ft away so only the strong swimmers felt comfortable. The shipwreck was pretty cool, I had never seen one before but the fish were unremarkable. The water was clear and cool. We set sail after about 30 minutes of snorkeling and were served a delicious meal of a choice of jerk chicken, tuna or steak as well as the famous "macaroni pie" a must eat when in the islands. There was also salad, rice, bread and lots to drink both non-alcoholic and alcoholic. No one went hungry. Our ticket included the buffet meal, others bought a $5.00 hamburger that they seemed to enjoy. We would suggest getting the meal included (but we booked this excursion on our own and not through the cruise ship, we got it cheaper too!) Our next stop was to the turtle swimming area. We saw a small 2-foot turtle which the crew fed to keep it hanging around. The water was beautiful to snorkel and just swim in. The plank was brought out and many a sailor walked it bravely to their fall to the ocean below--it was a lot of fun although I will admit it was pretty far up and I was a tad bit frightened of the height. The crew also put out a rope swing where you could stand on the railing of the ship, hold on and swing out over the water and jump or fall into the water--it was a lot of fun to do and watch. I will say that the first two people to swing on the rope were the two oldest people on board (my husband being the oldest one) many of the younger guys said "if the old guys can do it then so can we!". We were out at this point for quite a while swimming, rope jumping and plank walking. On the return trip the party really started with lots more booze and lots of music and dancing. The crew made sure that when we came back into port everyone knew we were the party boat. If you are in Barbados add this to your itinerary. The crew/staff were wonderful.

Although we didn't partake in the water activities we had a wonderful fun filled day. The staff was amazingly friendly and made us feel very welcome. Surprisingly the food was quite good. I would recommend this fun filled excursion whether you swim or not.
