“A great trip to the seabed”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 December 2013 via mobile

Went on a daytime dive. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip and got to see a shipwreck, the coral reef, lots of fish and a turtle. Crew were highly professional and we felt very safe in their hands. They were also entertaining and knowledgeable and took the time to make sure we got the best from the experience. Great way to see below the surface of Caribbean Sea.

“Fantastic experience - dive dive dive”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 December 2013

During our recent stay in Barbados we had heard about the Atlantis submarine. We really wanted to try this experience but were unsure about taking the day or night trip, so we took the day trip.
We were collected from our hotel and taken to the dock and Atlantis building. Here there is time to chill out before the trip. Remember to use the toilet here as there is no toilet on the sub - especially if you are drinking too much of the complimentary juice or water.
Your boarding time is announced and you are taken out to the sub on a transfer vessel where the safety briefing takes place. You are then loaded onto the sub and the real adventure begins.
The guide and the captains have a wonderful charisma to tell you all about the ocean and the reef. We saw lots of fish and coral. The first view of the ship wreck is a little eerie but a great man-made reef. We also saw a massive turtle on the bottom of the reef which was not at all disturbed or bothered by the sub being there.
The journey back to the dock was pleasant with rum/juice being offered. You can buy souvenirs and your boarding photo when back at the Atlantis building.
We liked the adventure so much that we went back and did the night time tour too.
My only criticism of the experience is that the transport too/from our hotel on both trips was late and seemed a little disorganised.

“Good Experience”

Certainly an experience, a dive to view the coral a wreck and the fish under the Caribbean. Well organised and a good crew, however do check, if your dive is catering for a group of non English speakers as they put a guide on who commentates in that language dropping in a little bit of English.

“Different Experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 November 2013

My husband and I both went on this submarine. It was a different experience and I felt it was well worth the money. We saw a shipwreck, many different kinds of fish and really cool coral right outside our window. The rum punch on the way back was really good too.

I took the night dive and it was great. Everything is handled very professionally where safety first is at the forefront.
