We have stayed at Beach View three times in the last twelve months. It is a great spot; super friendly and helpful staff and the accommodations are very spacious and ideal for travelling with children. The weekly Manager's Sundown cocktail party is a not to be missed event. Robin's family home is absolutely stunning and he and his family are warm and generous hosts. We will continue to return to Beach View for our winter vacations. The location is ideal - close to beach and to many great restaurants and grocery store as well as duty free shopping at the Limegrove Mall. We really can't recommend Beach View and the staff highly enough. I should also note that we have stayed at three other resorts in Barbados and would recommend Beach View as being by far the best.

Room Tip: Views of ocean and sunsets from second floor balcony are spectacular

We went to Barbados to support Hampshire Cricket in their pre-season warm up tour and are so glad we chose Beach View as our holiday home. We whole-heartedly agree with all the other glowing comments. Lovely, spacious, beautifully equipped accommodation, ALL the staff so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, making reservations, suggesting out of the way places to visit and, as in a previous comment, answering all our idiotic questions! Carrie must be used to them! Robin's Thursday night hospitality in his beautiful home was superb. We also met some really nice fellow guests. Cariba is a must for eating, Scarletts too - both just a few minutes walk away, and the Beach House in Holetown and the Fish Pot north of Speightstown were lovely too. OK, so there is a road to cross to reach the beach from the apartments but that's hardly a problem I'm no techy but the air-conditioning was NOT difficult to operate, we didn't find the road noisy and we never smelt the fish market- in fact we bought the most wonderful king-fish there! Thank you, Robin, Carrie, Victoria (on the security team) for all the chats, in fact everybody at Beach View for leaving us with such happy memories.

We can only add to the outstanding and well-deserved reviews that this place gets. Starting with the personal welcome received on arrival, via the "nothing is too much trouble" response to successive idiotic requests and queries, to the weekly drinks party in the owner Robin Walcott's extraordinary house nearby, this hotel-condo works like no other, due largely to the charming Carrie Walcott and her wonderful team. Free from the tyranny of hotel meal and activity times, anything you want is available off-site or can be brought in to the huge, fully-equipped and immaculate apartments though there is also a great onsite cafe for breakfast and lunch run by the admirable Atticus, Henrietta and Joanne. Two pools in the middle of lushly-planted gardens set off the bluff-top location, with a great sea view, and a short walk over the road takes you to the lovely Payne's Bay and Sandy Lane beaches, among the best on the island. The restaurants and shops of Holetown are a short bus-ride away (a local experience not to be missed). We will come back again and again: our children (12-18) love it as well.

Room Tip: all rooms are great and you get a sea view even from the most ground floor apartments

We spent a week at Beach View in November and it was an amazing vacation. The view from our Ocean View room was outstanding. The balcony was a great place to hang out and relax. We recommend having the wine and cheese plate in the room on your arrival (thank you Carrie for having the Birthday flowers). The room was nicely decorated, roomy and very clean. Robin, Carrie and the staff treated us like family. From the time Tony (our driver) met us at the airport until the day he took us back we enjoyed ever minute of our stay in Barbados. We never felt crowded like you would at a large beach resort which made spending time at the beautiful pool and walking the grounds so relaxing and enjoyable. The Thursday evening reception at Robin's home is something you don't want to miss. We loved the bus rides (try the yellow bus) and friendly people on the Island. The staff were extremely helpful in finding a last minute day cruise with R&R Cruising which was a great way to celebrate a special Birthday! Of course the other guests from England, Toronto and Victoria were fun to talk to and we met some interesting people at the barbecue, the pool and the reception. Mr. Vic's is a short walk and a great place to have refreshments and talk with the locals. The staff arranged a rental car and we enjoyed a road trip around Barbados. Driving on the left side was not easy but we found our way around the island - some highlights were North Point, St. Nicholas Abbey, meeting Lucille at Nigel Benn Aunty Bar a great Rum Shack in Shorey Village and the views at Bathsheba Soup Bowl on the east coast. We plan to travel back to Barbados in the near future and will certainly stay at Beach View -- a wonderful place to stay!

Enjoyed the unit very much. Had everything we needed and more. Including washer and dryer. Internet full kitchen etc. upstairs room
204 has good views.

The staff is outstanding. Very attentive and nice to deal with. Very helpful with booking quality Restraunt's and attractions.

Very close to fine dining and medium level dining. Easy access by bus or cab to shopping areas.

Beach is across the street. It's very beautiful and safe. Great for swimming snorkeling or skiing etc. however the beach is on a main road And has noise and passersby able to view you.

Walking up the Beach just a few yards Will yield more privacy.

The pool on the grounds is very nice but lacks a bar service and has some road noise. If
Your looking for a condo with kitchen and will do some exploring, this place is as good as it gets.

If your looking for a resort experience this is probably not your best option.

We stayed for a week at the end of March and we love it . This is our fourth time to Beach View and each time we really enjoy our stay. Once you get to know the area it does feel like home. The staff are very welcoming and willing to help with any request. Carrie looks after all the details and Robin is a wonderful host. All the positive comments made by the other guests are true. The property is very well looked after inside and out. The cocktail party is a definite don't miss . The fish market across the road is very handy for fresh flying fish or catch of the day. The buses are fun and easy to use or if you prefer a cab there always on time. There are all kinds of restaurants at what ever price point you prefer. The lower price places have not disappointed and tend to have more of a Bajan style of food. This is what we prefer. The more expensive places offer great food and service but it's more like what we would expect at home ,so we lean towards the island experience. Actually the Hut is a fun on site cafe for tasty breakfast and lunch. Atticus runs the show and is very friendly and entertaining . His staff are always ready for your request. We didn't see much of Atticus this time because he was off helping his wife with their new baby girl. Best wishes to them.

Some of the "cons" should be addressed.
The idea of the ocean being to far is relative. I have stayed at resorts in Florida where the pool is further away, plus when your on vacation a two minute walk isn't a bad thing.
Crossing the road is easy enough. If you walk another fifty feet there is a crosswalk where the cars will stop for you.
The road noise is there just to remind you that you are living amongst the locals who are carrying on every day activities while you are visiting their country . I even read somewhere that the sound of the whistling frogs at night was a problem. Oh well you can't please everyone . We will definitely be back.

Room Tip: Take advantage of the grocery program.
