We spent 2 glorious weeks at Crystal Cove for my daughters wedding. Lisa the wedding co ordinator and her team exceeded our expectations as did Bill the photographer from Colorbox. Everything from the service on the beach, drinks in the garden and wedding breakfast on the terrace were amazing.

Crystal Cove is set in a wonderful location, rooms are more than adequate and the hotel staff were some of the most friendly we have met on our travels. The beach and beach walks are lovely and never overcrowded. We always found a sun bed.

Food in both restaurants were good and varied. At the height we were a party of 12 , restaurant staff were always able to accommodate us as a single party.

All in all Crystal Cove provided with a wedding and a holiday to remember. We cannot wait to return .

Stayed for 10 days at this hotel. Must admit I was disappointed when the taxi pulled up outside the hotel, as it is a very modest entrance, but from then on everything else was fabulous . The check in was the best and most efficient I have ever experienced. Offered a seat overlooking the ocean, handed a rum punch, a chilled towel, and a warm welcome from the staff. 5 mins later my bags were on there way to the room. Pretty grounds with attractive room. We had a sea view, room 118, and although close to drifters bar/restaurant no problems with noise. The food is excellent, with plenty of choice and of a high standard . The staff are very efficient, pleasant , and always happy to help.
Plenty of loungers on the beach, and round the pools, although the problem of reserving by towels still happens here it really isn't necessary.
Good high quality live entertainment each evening, although finishes at 10.30 PM.
If you prefer to use a hotel pool, you may well be disappointed as although there are 2 swimming pools, , they are very small and suitable only for small children or standing in whilst enjoying a drink.
Having said that, this is a fabulous hotel and I would certainly return. If you are looking for a high quality boutique type hotel with excellent food and service this is for you......Enjoy

4 of us have just returned from a weeks stay at the Crystal Cove and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this beautiful Barbados hotel.

The bedrooms are very large and well equipped with lots of hanging/drawer space, huge beds and, even though we had a garden room, the view was amazing and we could still see the Caribbean from our terrace. Bed linen is changed daily and the maid will also leave clean beach towels for the following day in your room.

The pool area is very well kept with lots of seating and as the hotel is situated right on the beach there are also numerous sunbeds each with their own canopy. All day long one of the staff, Stephen, will come along the beach with trays of drinks, fruit, jellies and even ice lollies. There's a good selection of complimentary water sport activities available from banana boats, canoes to water surfing.

The hotel food is extremely good with lots of choice at breakfast, lunch and dinner. For informal dining it's best to use the Drifters restaurant which is seated alongside the beach, however, Reflections restaurant was our favourite as this had a more formal approach for evening dinner. All the staff are so friendly and from arrival to departure they couldn't have been more helpful.

We have nothing bad at all to say about this hotel and the amazing staff in place, headed up by the ever visible Olivia!

Brilliance experienced in every part from reception, catering, service and housekeeping. We celebrated three birthdays in four days and all of the staff and management made every day unique and special.

The Easter weekend activities were excellent and the water sports brilliant to both take part in and watch. No need to rush for the sunbeds around the pool, there were plenty on the beach a stones throw away!

A special mention to Dawna who entertained the four of us from start to finish. We miss you and it's your turn to be employee of the month! Olivia, your management team are fantastic as are all the staff, we had great fun with many of them including yourself and the lovely Sophia!

We're already trying to work out when we can all come back and enjoy your company again. Thank you so much for helping us create lifelong memories and we'll see you soon

Room Tip: We were in room 118 and 119, both first floor ocean view rooms near Drifters, perfect!

When staying at Turtle Beach hotel, you can visit their affiliated property Crystal Cove Hotel and use the beach, have drinks and eat lunch. It was a great opportunity to get to use a beach on the Caribbean side; the water was calm and lovely. There is a bar in the swimming pool nestled into a cave under a waterfall. You can swim up or go into the cave and drink with dry clothes. The drinks were delicious: the rum punch and the fresh banana daiquiri as good as at Turtle Beach. The lunch was not as good as at Turtle Beach, it was trying too hard to be continental when West Indian cooking is their forte. Avoid food that has too much food coloring and looks unnatural; your stomach may react to it. If you are visiting from Turtle Beach, make sure to return by 3:30 pm at the latest so you miss Barbados rush hour.

Absolute paradise. This is a beautiful resort and perfect for a totally relaxing holiday. Food is amazing and lots of choice. Evening meals can be taken in the indoor restaurant or outdoors facing the beach and sea. We stayed in a sea view room which was well worth the extra supplement paid as it was fantastic to wake up to the gentle sound of the sea against the shore. Travelling around in Barbados is really easy and we used the local buses which were a fun experience and we always felt welcomed by the locals. Plenty to see and do and a totally relaxing place to stay. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this beautiful island and resort. A great choice.

Room Tip: Got to be a seafront/ beachfront room.

First time to this hotel and, indeed, the island. The location and layout of our one bedroom ocean view duplex suite were simply stunning. Some of the fabric of the suite was a little tired (particularly the bathrooms) and a fresh coat of paint is not really a rehab.

The staff across the board are fantastic - friendly, helpful and on top of everything.

The food was a little disappointing. The dinners were of quite ordinary quality, which surprised us because the a la carte lunches were excellent.

Other than the "house" white wine that was served at each lunch and dinner, the inclusive drinks were great with the vast range of cocktails accurately produced.

One challenge that the hotel needs to think about is the success that it has as a wedding venue. During our 7 night stay there were 4 wedding parties at various stages of their preparations/celebrations. As the hotel only has 80 rooms we, as a couple on our own, sometimes felt that we were the uninvited guests at other peoples' parties that were literally being created/executed around us.

However, overall we had a great time and would quite probably come back..

.

Room Tip: Go for suite 132 but not when we want to come back next time, the view was unbelievable!
