“A really good, relaxing break”
Reviewed 7 June 2014

We travelled with Virgin to this hotel for a 7 night break. We paid for a basic room which faced the garden area. We were near the piano bar, but only heard a minimal amount of noise one evening. Perhaps in high season it would get noisy, although the bathroom is between the bedroom and the outside, so I doubt it would be that bad. We had a bedroom and living room, which made for a nice spacious area. The walls were slightly dirty, with scuff marks in various places. The shower was poor, as there was no real pressure, and it couldn't be moved. It took ages to rinse your hair. Otherwise the accommodation was fine, and the bed was very comfortable.

I thought the food was generally excellent. We enjoyed Enid's very much, and the waiter service meals on the beach. Two nights there was a buffet/bbq which was okay. Breakfast was also good. Lunch was my least favourite meal, as there wasn't a great deal of choice if you didn't want a hot dog or burger. You could only get bread if you got them to make up a large "subway" like roll. and there was no cheese or cold meats.

The hotel provided a good selection of watersports, which were all free. We enjoyed the various boat rides, and some people were trying the water-skiing and sailing.

The activities on land were not so well organised. I missed the cooking demonstration as it was mentioned in small print at the bottom of the notice board, which I missed. Tennis was only organised once a week, and volleyball didn't happen as only my husband turned up for it. The organiser just shrugged rather than see if he could get anyone else to play.

Most evenings we sat outside with a drink, watching the sea, which was lovely, but I think the entertainment could be improved. The two girl singers were very good, but it almost felt like no one wanted to encourage the entertainment. The dance floor is large, but there are only a few tables around the edge, so hardly anyone sits there. One evening when they played some Bob Marley tunes a few people got up to dance, but then they took a break, coming back at 10.30 to play a few slow songs which no one danced to. By 10.45 the floor started to fill, and then finished promptly at 11pm. It could have been planned so much better.

We chose this hotel as we were travelling at half term and it was adult only. It was lovely having the pools free of lilo's etc and there were ample sunbeds, so only a few people bothered reserving sunbeds.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially in the restaurants and also Charlie, who took us out several times on the boats. The bar staff were very knowledgeable, fixing any drink that was requested.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Club, it's not perfect, but it's faults are minor enough to not really matter, and I think it represents excellent value for money.

We where there only for 4 days, service was good, room was very clean, the beach needs help, the water sports are a great bargain, you can water sky, take a boat tour, rent kayaks not have to pay for anything, there are some tours that the water sport department runs that there is a charge, overall our stay was pleasant, we did eat Edids Restaurant we felt the food was very good, compare to the restaurant down stairs, the only negative I have is the employees are too direct with answers.

Room Tip: Take the tours that are offer by the hotel, they are a good value, Emins the tour guide is real know...

Two weeks of wall to wall sunshine, nice pool, clean rooms. Excellent staff in the restaurant, pool, gardens, reception and house keeping (Bear Bear loves you Andrea- and before this goes viral Bear Bear is a Teddy Bear). Food good not so sure about Enid's, tried it twice and wasn't too impressed, suggest instead of a standing set menu, they change it twice a week to ring the changes.
Great location for a short walk to to HoleTown, and a few shops just across the road.
Whilst the beach is small, you can walk 100 yards to the North for a fab deserted beach and swim with the turtles or south to Sandy Lane.....beware children there which is why we chose The Club, oh and the price difference.

Over all very nice
Thank you
Fiona

Room Tip: Ask for ground floor or first floor as a preference

This hotel is adults only over 16 years of age. This was our
First visit to this hotel and we were not disappointed and most certainly will visit again. On arrival we were greeted with. Rum punch while we checked in. We were taken by the porters to our rooms who gave us a quick overview of all the amenities onsite. Our room was clean and beautifully located ocean view. Room was cleaned daily. Beach towels supplied and changed on request. Restaurants sunset lounge and Enid's you book in a morning prior to breakfast and both were fabulous. Food was from a menu most evenings and all other meals self service buffet. Lots of variety at every sitting. Lovely beach BBQ one evening too. Lots of complimentary water sports at the hotel and the hotel water sports crew work hard all day to give guests a fabulous experience. All of the staff from room service to restaurant staff to bar staff and the chefs make you welcome and will make your stay as relaxing as possible. Nothing's a problem. PoolS and jacuzzi are lovely and wasn't too overcrowded while we were there. Beach vendors do walk up and down but will Happily walk on by with a 'no thank you' Internet cafe is tucked away around past reception where you can use the internet for free ( wifi throughout hotel free ) and they have printing facilities to print off boarding passes etc. if you want any extra excursions or jet skis ask Steve or Barry who come to the hotel
Every day with the jet ski fabulous guys and really looked after us. It's a short walk to Holetown and the boutique shops. Beaches either side of the hotel are beautiful. Would I recommend this hotel to family or friends ?? I already have.

This was our third visit to the club Barbados. The hotel has changed ownership since our last holiday but has still retained the same friendly and intimate atmosphere. The staff were all very helpful and our room was clean and comfortable - no complaints at all! The food was well cooked and varied and the evening meal was pleasantly served in a relaxed formal setting.

Room Tip: Upper floors give good views.

What a lovely resort. Prompt, curteous service. Very clean and friendly staff. Lots of activities to do and see. The bus was easy to take ($1 USD/trip), but be careful of the taxi service. Make sure fares are discussed before the ride. Be prepared to spend at least $30 to $40 USD every trip.

Room Tip: Be prepared for stairs to all rooms, except the ground floor. The ocean loft had a large window over...

Arrived to a warm welcome. Came on our first Saga holiday (too young, hey you have to start sometime), great welcome and taxi to hotel. Checked in while drinking a rum punch:-). Lovely rooms, spacious and comfortable. Walk in shower and double bed. Two
Air conditioning units, one in bedroom and one in living room. Safe in room too. TV with loads of English speaking Channels. Wifi everywhere on the resort.
Welcome meeting with Cole was informative.
Free water sports provided, 20 minute boat rides etc. free snorkel and flippers too. Free boat ride was amazing, saw more of the coast than you could see walking. Quite exciting too. Also Hobie Cat trip, which was super.
Two restaurants at hotel resort, the Sunset and Enid's. Both are great but Enid's has better service and atmosphere, and we loved it. You book every day for the evening restaurant so make sure you book Enid's. "Enid"- means everyone's Grandmother:-).
Cooking demo once a week in Enid's is also a must, (you have to book) but you learn local culture and beliefs as well as local recipes.
