“Lovely”
Reviewed 7 May 2014 via mobile

Great place for swimming plus there is parking and showers too. Barbados is king of beaches it is hard to go wrong wherever you stop. The shallow waters here made it particularly good for swimming and also scenic as the sand makes the waters turquoise and my photos are stunning! Please let me know if my review is useful and I will keep on writing them, thanks.

“Turtle Paradise”
Reviewed 5 May 2014

Amazing beach palm trees, Carib beach bar. Views to die for, and turtles. Highly recommend. Great beach for small. Children as the water is very calm. Sundays are great for live entertainment and barbecue

Great beach bars and lots to see, very safe but at low tide, there is quite a current to watch for. Sea Turtles plentiful .

“Swimming with turtles”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

You need to go at low tide in order to get the best chance of swimming with turtles here. Check the newspaper - the times of tides are included every day. There was quite a contrast between the sea here and at nearby Dover. Dover was pretty rough most days we were there but the sea here at low tide was lovely and calm. You could walk a long way out and then there was the reef and the turtles. A scattering of sunbeds and umbrellas and an excellent beach cafe. A definite recommendation. If you are staying at St Lawrence Gap, its a short walk on a very nasty road. Just keep your eyes peeled for the first glimpse of beach after you turn the corner We found that the drivers were generally most courteous and would stop to let us cross the road. Still be alert!

seems to be in more of a bay so tide not so fierce as most beaches in Barbados. Atlantic seas always rough the Caribbean west side better but rocky!!
