“Very nice dinner”
Reviewed 10 December 2013

We used to eat several meals at Paradise on every dive trip, but last year we thought the menu had changed and the prices were higher. Despite this experience, we tried it again this year. It was wonderful.

We loved the Lionfish ceviche even if they have toned the hot peppers back a bit. Both dinners were great and the beer was on sale - who argues with more for less?

We left thinking the restaurant is back up to form. We'll eat there again when we return to Bonaire in 2014.

“Good food, confused servers”
Reviewed 1 December 2013

AS the title says, I did have some good food here on my last visit to Bonaire, Steak and seafood. The servers were very confused about what to do, the manager finally ended up bringing our meals. The Drinks were slow to come (same new server Issue), but after we got a bucket, thinks got better.

“So good we ate there twice in one week”
Reviewed 27 November 2013

Excellent food and a pleasant dining experience right on the water front. We typically eat here twice on each vacation. Amy is a hoot! Great service and reasonable prices. We splurged for the apple pie ala mode. Yum! Try the ceviche as well. It has peppers that will realy add spice to your meal.

“This is a must visit restaurant”
Reviewed 15 November 2013

Carl, chef and owner of this fantastic restaurant, is a displaced Texan, and his cooking reflects his background. Starting with his famous "walking sticks" which are crispy fried wrappers around a cream cheese infused with hot pepper and bacon, you cannot go wrong with his view of the south west. Whatever fish is fresh is what you can get, grilled and served with sweetened or pickled vegetable and southwest but Caribbean rice. The fish tacos are renowned, and the pulled pork tacos bring me back to my trips to New Mexico. His peanut butter pie for dessert covers every tiny empty spot remaining in the stomach.
Great food and great prices, good company and a feeling good atmosphere, right on the water.
Enjoy it.

“Looking for Lionfish”
Reviewed 12 November 2013

After a day of diving on the reef, and seeing plenty of the invasive species, we decided to search out and eat the nasty Lionfish! We found it on the appetizer menu at Paradise Moon. It was a quiet night, other than a party of 13 we had the restaurant to ourselves. The Lionfish comes in a ceviche, here the fish is actually "cooked" by the chemical interaction with the lime juice. This dish is served cold, and is a little spicy and a little sour. The Lionfish was not like a regular fish in that it was not flaky. It's consistency was more like a scallop or lobster. Over all the presentation was wonderful, and the dish was delicious. I would certainly eat it again, and the overall experience and the rest of our meal at the restaurant was wonderful too! We are inspired to take the 1-day Lionfish hunter course the next time we go to Bonaire, and hope to spear Lionfish for our dinner (with one of Bonaire's certified guides!).
