“Best Meal In Bonaire”
Reviewed 26 November 2013

We went to the Bistro on the recommendation of another guest and were absolutely surprised to have our best dinner of the week in Bonaire. It is just a short 10 minute walk from the Harbour Village – you must exit the resort to get to the restaurant. It is well worth the walk! My bride and I split an appetizer of foie gras which was the BEST I’ve ever had! It was cooked perfectly, served on a bed of greens. It was cooked so well it needed no sauce, for to add anything would have been to diminish its melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The texture was sublime, and I love foie gras and am usually disappointed. We ended our dinner with lobster and beef medallion. Both were delicious, although my lobster was just over cooked. We enjoyed the meal so much, we went back to the bar another evening for another delicious dinner a few nights later. For both of our meals, we ate outside. Be warned, if you don’t have insect repellent, be hardy or ask for some. The staff was helpful, courteous, and friendly. A special kudos to our server Stephany who did a great job.

“Paris in Bonaire”
Reviewed 24 November 2013

Whether you are having a full course meal or drinks & hors d'oeuvres at the bar, you can't go wrong. The new location adjacent to the harbour adds to the ambiance.

“Burgers at the bar”
Reviewed 20 November 2013 via mobile

Bistro de Paris has two parts: the (French) restaurant, and the bar. Burger nite at the bar is a great value: figure $25 for two including 1/2 price drinks. Average burger for $8 not bad at all.

“Excellent Restaurant, authentic French Food”
Reviewed 19 November 2013

This was our fourth trip to Bonaire and we always eat at this restaurant and it becomes our favorite. Between two of us we’ve tried Bouillabaisse, lamb shank, escargots, shrimp, Beef Carpaccio, duck Foie gras and more. The food was excellent every time we visit. The owner of the restaurant, Patrice is an excellent host and the service is great. I have a dietary restrictions and this place is very accommodating. If someone has Gluten sensitivity, this place will not disappoint you. I never had to return my food or had any issues (which periodically happens in other places). We will definitely be back and recommend this place to others.

“Disappointed.”
Reviewed 18 November 2013

For the many times we have come to Bonaire we have talked about dining here but never made it until now. Atmosphere is very nice and the service was quite good. However, the real reason for being, the food, was disappointing and not on a par with our favorites on the island. Onion soup had too much thickener, pork entree was dry and seemed to have sat too long under a heat lamp. Same with the wahoo, which need not be dry. Out of character for French cuisine, there was nothing subtle, delicate, or special about the flavors or sauces. Wine list also disappointing and limited. Now that our curiosity has been satisfied, we'll be going elsewhere for fine cuisine. At this price point, Bonaire offers many better alternatives.
