Without fail, every time we are in Kralendijk, which is about once at year, we stop at least once at the Gelateria. It's almost in the centre of the main street, Kaya Grandi. Usually it transpires to be late in the day either on the first day as we have been running around and getting food and other supplies prior to getting into our dive schedule, or on our last day when we can not dive and have finished exploring whatever else has currently taken our fancy on the Bonaire, (and sometimes both). No matter, the treats are always cold, varied, delicious and wonderful! Let's be honest, one can get a cold beer almost anywhere in the Carribean, often even good beer, but one can not get good ice cream or gelatos everywhere. It's best to get your selection and then sit under the covered entrance and watch the world of Bonaire go by one way on Kaya Grandi. Be relaxed, stay cool, people watch, and enjoy your gelato! One warning: If you are in Bonaire for a week or more, go when the tour boat does NOT come into port as they mob the place! Other than then, the service is friendly and fast and the product is excellent.
