Eden Beach Resort is a great value for the money. Convenient to the Water Taxi to Klein Bonaire. The kitchen facilities in the room were very useful during our trip. The room is clean and well furnished.

We visit the bar of Eden for drinks and to watch the sunset. After ordering 4 premium drinks we asked for a lime in it. The bartender told us, not in a very nice way that the lime was only for the Amstel Bright and not for mixed drinks. A bit surprised we sit down on the deck and saw a girl on the table next to us having a lime in her drink. When we walked back to the bar to ask about that lime, the bartender told us she was on the beach and not on the deck. If your sitting on the beach you can have a lime, not on the deck. This is the most ridiculous thing I ever heard in my life. We checked out and left. Oh and we forgot to tip and will never book a room there !

This hotel has been updated and is good condition. We were in room 204, a ground floor room that worked well for us, it is not beach front or even beach view from the room we had, but was not a problem. The rooms are very European, very basic, but very nice. We had a small kitchen that was stocked with pots and pans, silver wear, dishes, glasses. The bedding was in good condition as well as the towels; the room was made up and cleaned each day. In reading some of the other reviews before going down I agree with some reviews, yes the soap is small, bring your own, problem solved, we did not have a problem with hot water, but you do have to play with on/off valve, the hot is not all the way over to the left, more toward the middle.
We did have a problem with outsiders using the pool, most everyday around 12:30-1:00 people (children) just started showing up to the pool, some were kids of workers at the resort, and would stay all afternoon long. At one point there were 16 kids in the pool at one time, I have pictures, so needless to say we could not use the pool. I have read the reason why, but disagree with outsiders being able to pay to use the pool and forcing paying guest of the resort out of the pool. Charge your guest a little more for the rooms and do away with opening the pool up to outsiders, OR close the resort and turn it into an apartment complex. Also, the list of pool rules clearly posted at the pool, were not followed by any of the children or their parents at the pool. Running, splashing, throwing balls, pushing and screaming kids did not make for a pleasant day at the pool
Over all we enjoyed our stay here and will return someday, but the pool problem needs to be fixed. The restaurant that the resort has is a good place for and evening meal or drink, we had the breakfast option with our package and it was very convinent, but they need to learn to cook bacon like a southerner, the staff is very nice and glad to see you each morning. The dive shop associated with this resort is great, if you are here for diving, as most going to Bonaire are, it is a great place to stay.

Spent a couple of hours at the Spice Beach Club, service was hit or miss, once we got the correct server everything was a breeze. Nice swim in front of the beach club, got to see a good variety of fish while snorkeling. Would of been nice to be able to use the pool, but use of it is restricted to hotel guests. Taxi to Klein Bonaire leaves from the pier in front.

Stayed here for a dive trip and booked the most standard room as we do not spend a lot of time in the room. Being that it is the most standard room we did not expect any amenities, so my expectations were quite low.

Onsite dive shop, Wanna Dive is great
Unlimited HOT water in the shower
Comfortable bed
In room safe
Quiet atmosphere
COLD air conditioning

As stated in many other reviews, the towels are absolutely horrible. See my picture of the beach towels we were given upon arrival. They look like they had been dragged through the parking lot. The bath towels are bad as well....fraying on the edges, rough and some had holes.

Housekeeping services need improvement. Our first day after diving we returned to our room around 2pm, desperately wanting to take a hot shower. I noticed four housekeepers standing in the walkway chatting. I entered our room which had not been cleaned, but the towels had been removed. I approached the maids and asked for some towels. They told me towels would be available in 20 minutes. WHAT? Ugh. The next day we returned to our room in the afternoon and the room had been cleaned, but only one bath towel was left, instead of two. On day 3 in the morning, we observed one of the housekeepers standing in the walkway watching tv on her phone. Maybe she was on break, but the day had just started and it was a bad impression.

Two days in a row, there were four boys monopolizing the pool and their parents were no where to be seen. Myself and other guests repeatedly asked them to stop jumping, rough housing, and splashing, but they continued. There is a sign posted at the pool that children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult and that jumping and other similar activities are prohibited. The rules are not enforced and it was quite disruptive to myself and other guests. One has to wonder if these four boys were locals? Children of the staff? Hmmmmm.

So overall, it’s a basic resort that’s relatively inexpensive and if you have low expectations, it’s a decent place to stay.
