So, cool to see, and, so very different from what we have at home. Both my son, and my husband took the beginners lesson from Bonaire Windsurf place. $50 for 1hr lesson, which also includes 1 hr use of board right after the lesson. MIT looks very difficult, and requires good upper body strength. My son had very good form.....my husband.....not so much! :). My son went back a second time, and enjoyed it. Be sure to wear lots of sunscreen, or clothing, as they both came back with burns. You can rent a chair for $5 at any time on their beautiful beach. Truly a Caribbean feel. All 3 of us also waded across to the end of the bay to snorkel,as others have recommended. Just the walk across was very cool. But, the snorkelling was disappointing, and, I would not recommend it, since it takes a lot of effort to get out there.

“Superb morning at Lac Bay”
Reviewed 17 April 2014

Arrived moments late for 11 am windsurf lesson at Jibe City on Lac Bay but no problem, "we'll wait." They did and instruction was great. 15 minutes later up on the board and was windsurfing in a perfect locale - amazing water, easy breezes, no stress... Ninety minutes passed in a hurry and felt like i was on my way to getting the basics. We will return and i will step up for lesson again. Would heartily recommend Lac Bay and Jibe City!

“Unspoiled paradise”
Reviewed 16 April 2014

One of the best locations of Bonaire!

Crystal clear water! Not as warm as Sorobon which is nice since the water on the other side is nasty warm. Good snorkeling and the mangroves are amazing! And the colours around breathtaking!
I need to go here at least once a month!

“Awesome Bay to visit”
Reviewed 13 April 2014

Lac Bay is wonderful to see, calm blue green waters with wonderful powdery white sand beach. It is an interesting drive to get there seeing many of the infamous goats and donkeys but a destination worth visiting on your trip to Bonaire. The snorkeling is not a good as other parts of the island, since the water clarity is not as good, but was a great place to see and enjoy. We brought lunch and water since there are very limited choices when getting there.

“Beautiful beach on a lake with tropical bar/restaurant”
Reviewed 12 April 2014

Bonaire has not a lot of natural beaches, due to the reef. Here there is one! Beautiful, on a lake, not very deep, top windsurfing location, with some tropical beach bars and restaurant. Nothing sophisticated, just very nice.
