The setting, up several sets of stairs in a crumbly building, is magical when you get there. Out of a different time period but not a recognizable one. The dining rooms are cozy and quiet and you can even have a table for two on the balcony out front.
And the food was spectacular. Wonderful lobster, suckling pig, and especially good fried plantains. Never a sense of hurry. Just gracious and reasonably priced dining. Go if you get the chance.
