Despite having paid a small fortune to book a room in this hotel for 4 nights, we were told upon arrival that we would have to pay again for our stay or find other accommodation. The receptionist was rude, un-interested and unwilling to help resolve the problem. After 2 hours of arguing and a £130 phone bill, we eventually gave up and found somewhere else to stay the night. The next day we went back to the hotel and after hours on the phone to the UK eventually managed to resolve the misunderstanding, however, we are still to get back our first night's accommodation fee and phone bill.

Do yourself a massive favor and do not even consider staying in this hotel. It is dated, the staff are rude and it is very poor value. There are hundreds of Casas and hotels which actually want your business in Havana.

Room Tip: Go somewhere else!

This hotel was the worst accomodation we stayed in our Kuba roundtrip.
The badrooms are in a bad state, the aircon were not adjustable, the hole hotel needs a renovation.
In all casa particulares we stayed the breakfast was much better then in Tejadillo.
Most of the staff are half-hearted and uninterested in work.
The only positive thing on Tejadillo is the central situation.
I never never would book this hotel again.

Beautiful big rooms in a beautiful old hotel right in the centre of old Havana. The air conditioning unit took a long time to work as the room was so big. We had a great breakfast here. A big tree grows in the courtyard right up through the hotel

This boutique hotel is cute and centrally located but for the price is ridiculous. We had previously stayed in an Airbnb in Vedado earlier in the week and found it much nicer and cheaper. Our ceiling was cracked in this hotel and when we went to leave for the airport early in the morning, they told us we had to check out with cash. We had spent all of our cash at that point and they had told us we could pay in card (when we checked in previously that day). We ended up being in a really tight spot at 3:30am with little resolution. I would stay somewhere else.

Decided to spend our last night in Havana here. The room was big and close to all. Everything worked except for the elevator. We entered it in the lobby, pressed the button for our floor. Nothing happened. Did it again; same result. We started pressing the button to get out at the lobby, but the door did not open. We started pushing more buttons, but nothing worked. Realized we were stuck. No alarm button, no phone, and, most importantly, no air. We started shouting and kicking the door, but nobody came. With the oxygen reducing in what seemed like a hermetically sealed coffin, we began to panic. Started shouting and kicking elevator doors which we noticed were already dented, most likely from this happening before. After 10 minutes of this, we finally heard somebody say, "Un momento." Finally, the elevator took us to our floor. When I asked the Manager what happened, he stated he didn't know because it had never happened before. The next day a woman got stuck in the elevator. In Spanish I told him "Oh, yea! Never happened before!" I am going to file a complaint with Habanaguex over this.

Room Tip: Room with a view wasn't pretty. No windows, just a wooden window cover that does not block the noise from people, dogs, cars, etc.
