I spent a week in March of 2012 at Casa Camilo, and it felt like my home away from home in Havana. The house is beautiful--with plant-filled terraces and elegant shared spaces. The rooms are comfortable, the showers excellent, the breakfasts delicious and plentiful. The neighborhood is lovely and safe; the house is a couple of blocks from the Malecón. Best of all, Camilo and his family are excellent hosts. If I'm lucky, I'll have a chance to go back there soon.
