We were lucky to be there when it was sort of rainy and windy weather and then in the end of our stay we had a nice sunny day there. The perfect thing about Malecon in bad weather is that Cubans close it for cars and you have it all for yourself. you can walk in the middle of it, stay as long as you wish, admire the ocean and the buildings, notice details about the street... wonderful. When its sunny, Malecon is full of cars almost all the time and you have problems with crossing it.

“To much cars”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 August 2014

Before we came to Havana, we thought it was a nice walking boulevard next to see. It is, but there is a big road for cars direct next to it. Not so nice to walk around I think. Also there must be done much renovation before this will be nice, still nice views on the coast. I think it is better to do the Malecon by open car, open bus tour, or with another vehicle, by this way you'll see much more and as I said it's not nice to walk around, but that's my opinion.

“Malecon has life of it's own”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 August 2014

Experienced sunrise and sunset on The Malecon. Full of activity with fisherman heading out for early catch in morning and young and old families and lovers in the evening. My girlfriend and I did not experience any of the negativity that I read about as far as propositioning from men or women. Late at night from hotel room was just a moving mass of people enjoying the evening.

“Loads of fumes!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 August 2014

It is better to walk this during night time, as the hot day it is full of cars, noise and car fumes. One can get nice views from there.
