I went with my husband,2 kids (3 and 6) and another couple (kids 5 and 15 months). The hotel is nice, we stayed in block 55 wich was in front of the pool, 3 minutes from the buffet and 5 minutes from the beach. The food was o.k. not wow. The snack bar near the pool had good pizza. Me being allergic to gluten (wheat) I only had omelets and fruits in the morning so for all you allergic people, do like me and bring some snacks and granola bars. The drinks were good and the coffee also. The entertainement was good. The beach was so so... the sand wasn't like Santa Maria (white and fluffy) it was a bit brown with lots of broken shells (coquillages) but you could still walk with no shoes on. The right part of the beach was great but when you walked on the left side, there was no beach just rocks and waves. The waves were fun but if you want a beach with NO waves, don't go there. We did not have problems finding chairs or shade. We did a catamaran ride with the kids and it was a lot of fun. The rooms are nice but my friends had ants even though their baby milk powder were in containers and sealed bags so don't eat in your room or you might have ants problem. To resume, it was a nice vacation, o.k. hotel for the price we paid... if you want better food or place, pay the price and you will get it ! Good family vacation... next time, I might go back to Melia las dunas or mexico...
Thanks to the buffet team who were very very nice : ARIANA, NANCY, LIETI, DAYLE AND MIGUEL. Thanks to the nice bar tender near the beach and the young boy at the pizza place near the pool. Gracias !

I was very impressed with this resort and the staff. This was my first trip to Cuba and will certainly return. From room service, to food service, to bar service, to the beautiful beach, well kept grounds, pool, entertainment, etc. it was number 1. The positive and friendly staff certainly rubbed off on the guests as I met some amazing people on this trip. Thanks to Jerry, Nester, Jorge Alberto, Nuriel, Meyli, Jorge Ives, Roberto, Ivelise, Chasey, Yania, Mesa Valero, Chavelis, Eliezer for remembering our faces with a huge smile and kindness every time we happened upon you.

Staff at the Lobby Bar are the best. Jesse, Justo, Roberte, Yania, Yilius, Ivelise, Eliciel, Chavesi, Nestor, Nuviel are awesome. They were so friendly and always made sure you had a drink in front of you. We had a lot of laughs with them. Wait until you see what they do with alcohol and fire.

Room Tip: Rooms in the 60's block are half way between the restaurants/lobby and beach. Close to the pool...

We absolutely fell in love with Cuba and this resort.

This resort was very modern& clean. The staff are amazing, the food was great we actually enjoyed the buffet more than the a la carte. The weather was perfect the entire trip there was a beautiful breeze at nighttime that seemed to cool everything down. The entertainment at this resort was very good. They have a snack shack serving delicious food until 6:00am.
We felt very safe at the market in Town and nobody pressured you to look at their stuff they sat patiently and were very gracious even if you didn't buy anything.

We will definitely be going back :)
We would like to especially thank our favourite waitress Ladesha (sorry about the spelling) she was absolutely amazing :)

Stayed a week from Feb. 2nd - Feb. 9th 2014 first time here and we were impressed when we first got off our bus. The lobby was spectacular with many lounge seating and the open air concept was really eye catching. In general, the staff was very friendly and spoke good English throughout the resort. There was a good variety of food at the buffet there was always something different to try. The wait staff were really efficient always asking what we would like to drink right when we sat down and where quick at clearing the tables. There was live entertainment nightly which we were really impressed by all the musicians, dancers, singers etc. All the performers were very professional. One of the main reasons we chose this resort was the fact that the buildings were only two stories 6 or 8 rooms per unit and no elevators. The resort was not too big and was easy to get around. There were always lounge chairs available in and around the pool area. There was a snack bar close by the pool if you needed a snack or quick drink. The bar staff were awesome and very entertaining. They made every guest feel special by serving them right away with a smile. A special thanks goes out to: Jerry, Yania, Nuriel, Nester, Jorge Alberto Mesa Valero, Meyli, Jorge Ives, Chavelis, Eliezer, Roberto, Ivelise, Chasey and Yilian who looked after us during our stay. We would definitely come back again.

What an amazing vacation!! The resort is massive and very clean. When we were there the hotel was booked solid (900+) and it never felt crowded. Privilege areas are nice, but it depends on what you're looking for. They have different alcohol (Crown in privilege vs. Jameson's elsewhere) and a separate a la carte, but the rooms themselves are not that much bigger.
Mike's Coffee Bar is unreal! Thank you again Karima, Anaiya, Roxana and Anisleydi!
If you miss breakfast due to intoxication you can get a fruit smoothie and mini pastries and sandwiches.
The lobby bar puts on a great show at night with flaming drinks. Muchos gracias Nestor, Jerry, Nuriel y Justo!!
Piano bar is also a great option after dinner because Tania is there and she will personally ensure that you have fun. She even does karaoke!
Last but not least...the pool bar. Yaremis and Enrique are not just great bartenders, they will make your trip a truly memorable one. Contrary to what someone else posted in a review, the Mojitos are not water!
Thanks again to Yoel and Jorge Alberto.

The only thing I will advise is that you bring a watch!

Stayed from Dec. 30th - Jan. 6th. A nice enough place....being a new resort there was not a lot of vegetation. The staff were great and many spoke very good English which was different from our experience in the Dominican. I found the food to be the usual resort fare. The beach wasn't as nice as I expected but still lovely although I did get bitten by some sand fleas....I imagine the older resorts have the choice spots. The rooms were fine...stayed in the privilege section and it was great to have the pool right outside the door. The staff at the privilege bar were very friendly. We took a private day tour to Havana in a vintage car with a driver and tour guide who were very knowledgeable...it is about an 1 1/2 hour drive from this resort. Havana was amazing and I would have loved to have stayed for a coupe of days. If we return to Cuba it would most likely be for that reason...although there were no real problems with this resort I missed a lack of character with the more modern architecture and less established grounds and for this reason would try another resort next time. That said, if those things are not on the top of your list I would say go for it. It seems to be quite a laid back place and am not sure if it would suit younger adults...we traveled as a couple and met some very nice people while there staff and clientele included.

Room Tip: Privilege rooms have the pool right outside patio door and I found it to be very quiet at night and...
