Porto Marie is a great beach with easy access, double reef for divers, good snorkeling and a very nicely kept beach. Plenty of umbrellas and lounge chairs for a reasonable price. Good food and drink at their restaurant make this an easy beach to enjoy.

On a day excursion from our hotel, we decided to drive to Westpunt. Looking at the tourist map and maps on line, I thought we would be driving right along the coast with a scenic drive of the ocean and coastline. Not so much! The main road is a few miles inland and therefore you don't see any ocean views until you get to Playa Jeremi. The fact that we didn't get to drive along the coast was a disappointment. However, there is a nice look out at Playa Jeremi and also a restaurant perched on the cliff to stop and have a cold drink and get food. The little restaurant has a very "eclectic" decor and the owner is the cook and bartender so don't expect anything to arrive at your table in a hurry (unless you order beer). Most all the beaches along the road to Westpunt are a 1-2 mile drive off the main road to reach the coastline. We stopped at Porto Mari and thought it was a really nice park and the road to get there was paved. It has a dive shop, nice bathrooms, outdoor showers, restaurant and lounge chairs. There is small cost to be on the beach and extra costs if you want a lounge chair/umbrella. We had drinks and lunch at this beach park and overall the food was good. We also went snorkeling and although the water was a really pretty color and shallow, the snorkeling was better at our hotel. One of the more interesting things we saw though were beautiful colored birds and we also saw an interesting looking hawk. We also saw the wild flamingos on the drive to Westpunt. What a great photo opportunity!

We loved the staff here, and the terrace bar area was a great place to enjoy a drink. The beach is quiet and small, with many chaise lounges available. As with most beaches in curaçao, i wore my water shoes as there are quite a few rocks.

Love this beach. If you go early you can get a parasol far from the entrance which is more quiet. Food is average but good enough for a good lunch. Snorkeling is nice here, diving is ok, it's a pity the reef is a bit damaged after a diving school started here. It's a far drive from town but worth it.

We rented a car and drive from Willmstedt about 45 minute drive. It was an adventure drive there for sure down some well used roads. We stopped in the Marshy area to look at the flamingos next to Williwood. Then drove on in and parked in a dirt parking lot. They have snorkel and scuba rentals as well as a restroom and bar. Find a spot you like lay your stuff out and enjoy. An attendant will come by and take your money. $12 for my wife and I; two lounge chairs and an umbrella right close to the water. Great place to people, iguana, and bird watch. Food at the bar was good local food and the beer was cold. Swimming platform and small pier in some very cold water. Didn't care for the rocks but wear suitable shoes for the water and it shouldn't be a problem. Great day relaxing. Masseuse and pedi available on the beach. Would definitely go again.
