“Hang with the locals”
Reviewed 2 December 2013

We really had fun rubbing shoulders with the local. Fishing boast, fruit markets and a little grub house serving fresh cooked local food. Lots of cool shops to check out. Beautiful colourful buildings and lots of live music and action. We spent a lot of time walking around and goofing around with the locals and taking pictures.

“A must visit while in Curaçao”
Reviewed 13 November 2013 via mobile

Punda has a good amount of stuff to see while visiting. It's got food, gift shops, and a market place. It's a neat little cultural experience worth the time to see.

“Hit the Floating Market!”
Reviewed 29 October 2013

The downtown area of Punda has some excellent shopping and food. The place pretty much shuts down in the evening, so be sure to hit it during the day. Many local shops may close for lunch as well, so it's best to go in the morning or late afternoon. Punda's merchants are very friendly, and much like other islands, they have a mix of local items, more Western items, and local souvenirs galore. But, the most unique and interesting part was the floating market. The Venezuelan merchants will line up along the shore and sell everything from fresh fish and amazing produce, to local wares. It's a great place to experience the culture that is Curacao.

“Need a longer time to explore”
Reviewed 28 October 2013

Visited this colorful city off our cruise ship in November 2012. Was amazed by the floating bridge which moved out of the way when a freighter came in. City is divided into two and when the freighter came in it we took the ferry to the other side. Lots of shopping both low and high end. Husbands enjoyed the beers at the waterside cafes while we walked around. A lot of interesting people who are very nice. The history of this island and Aruba is so interesting. The bridge for cars which crosses from one side to the other is one of the highest bridges I have seen. Would like to stay at a resort on this island in the near future.
