The only thing I can think of that it worth seeing in Otrabanda is the Kura Hulanda Museum. Locals call it the "slave museum". From Otrabanda you do have a wonderful view of the colorful, charming buildings across the bridge in Punda. Other than that, I can't think of any reason to go.

After crossing the pontoon bridge into Otrobanda its like a totally different city, even though its on the other side of the canal. Yes the buildings are still colorful but its more low key. There is a craft market between the pontoon bridge and Rif Fort, that is worth a stop to see what the locals are showcasing. Also Rif Fort is worth checking out, there are many gift shops as well as restaurants, its also worth taking a look at the entrance to the harbor from the fort walls. There are many great opportunity to take pictures of Punda.

Do visit this area in WIllemstad. It has so many different and old buildings. And do not be afraid. YOu can walk there reasonable safe. But leave your diamonts and expensive items at home.
