“Fantastic views, average food, island pricing.”
Reviewed 8 March 2014

The food was pretty good. Nothing really spectacular about it. The service was a little slow, but we found that to be the norm in Curacao rather than the exception. We dined here a couple times since it was basically next door to the Hilton hotel we were staying at. The view is amazing. If you aren't saying at a place that has an awesome view for sunset, its worth reserving a table here to watch it. The atmosphere is pretty great though. Dining waterfront and listening to the water crash on the beach - you really can't beat it. The prices are a little high for what you are getting, but certainly a better deal than the hotel restaurant/bar. The Bailey's cheesecake was pretty awesome - we went back mainly for that one night!

It is great to receive and discuss your warm comments regarding dining waterfront with the water crashing on the beach. We are really proud of our beautiful, romantic location.
I will tell the kitchen staff that you loved the Bailey's cheesecake.

“Affordable and Delicious Food”
Reviewed 7 March 2014

This beach side restaurant has great ambiance and delicious food. You will need to make a reservation during the evenings if you want a lovely, candle lit, table on the sand. The menu is eclectic and tasty, and the drinks priced well. Pirate Bay is a refreshing change from the high prices at the hotels.

“Sunday nite Reggae”
Reviewed 3 March 2014

We were staying not far away at the Hilton. You could throw a stone from the Hilton dock to their beach, but it is a 1/2 mile stroll by road each way. We went on a Sunday night, made a reservation, for reggae night. We sat up on an elevated deck under cover, overlooking other tables and the beach. Best seats in the house. Great fish meals, great setting, great service and music!

“OK food, excellent location”
Reviewed 26 February 2014

We have had diner here on several occasions and the food is decent. But we (and our guests) are always enchanted by the atmosphere. Having diner with your bare feed in the sand, sitting on a tropical beach, overlooking the Piscadera Bay and the sunset is excellent

“Nice place”
Reviewed 21 February 2014

I like this place. You can have food there, swim, lay relax under a tree to read a book or just to relax. The kids, as longs as there is water, will have a good time. The beach is not very crowded, except on Saturdays and Sundays. Service is good but not fast. Waiters and bartenders are nice to talk to. People are polite around you. The beach itself is clean. They will charge you to use the beach and for the use of beach chairs. There is a fountain where you can wash yourself afterwards.

Place to avoid between 17.00 and 18.30 due to the insects that appears right after sunset. But nothing a got insect repellent couldn't help. Then again, when the sun is totally down, and it becomes more cooler (after 18.30), a very nice place to be....

Enjoy!
