I have to say, we were really nervous about renting a car and driving to Shete Boka. There are no legible street signs but once you get on the right road you are on your way. Once you get to the park, there is an entrance fee but then you are free to walk or partially drive to all the different points. It is just gorgeous! The paths are rocky so flip flops are not the best choice for this activity! Unfortunately, the cavern was closed due to exceptionally strong waves. There is no shade so wear sun screen and know that you will be hot later in the day. There is a small snack shop with light lunch menu, water, soda and beer. They took US money also.
We continued to drive around to the western tip of the island and went to one of the beaches but I can't remember the name of it. I only remember it started with A. It was a clean sandy beach with the gorgeous blue green color that you expect the water to be. We snorkeled and soaked up some sun before heading back to the hotel as we wanted to be back before dark. They had pay toilets so we changed in the car. An excellent adventure.

A beautiful park. Admission fee is $6.00 per person but is worth it. See waves crashing against the rocks and check out the cave on the left of the path. Very hot during the summer months. Best to visit early in morning.

The waves are just crashing against the rocky coast. They have a natural bridge and a cave that leads down to the ocean. This was a great adventure for a couple hours of your day. They have maps they hand out at the gate to tell you how to get to each special point.

when you visit Curacao, it is a good idea to visit Shete Boka National Park, to get a better view of the island's geology. While walking the 7 bays ( Shete Boka) nature lovers will have a great time seeing how the island once formed from lava, leaving numerous terraces in the sea, where the trade winds play havoc with the sea and white sprays of water splash in your face... Also there is a cave that you can visit, where the water comes in from the sea, and the light play is amazing.... be careful though, it can be extremely slippery down there... Worth while visiting...

A nice getaway from the touristy beaches. Great opportunities for pictures and a nice easy hike. I highly recommend the cave and Boka Pistol.
