Beautiful beach,'stay used by locals. Snacks available, shade available, but no beach chairs. Worth it to bring a chair.

A gorgeous beach with lots of locals. We visited off season so the toilets and restaurant weren't in use. The colour of the water is amazing and the beach is good for swimming. It also has a lot of shades.

The water is the true Curacao blue... Like the booze! The beach is off of the beaten path but we worth a trip for the day to a beautiful place. Even if just on a drive back from west punt it is worth a stop for a few photos from the parking lot. Looks like a island calendar!

This public beach was located within 30 minutes of our rental property & we visited it on our last day. It is a wide sandy beach with picnic areas among the trees & there are palapas on concrete patios closer to the water. Those are the premium spots & are hard to come by on a crowded day. The snorkeling there was not as good as at some other beaches but the water is crystal clear & the multicolored blues of the water are breathtaking. This beach screams, "Caribbean!"

Curacao was our first stop on our cruise and boy was I disappointed. There is zero culture and serious poverty, not to mention the island is brown because it's a desert...covered in cactus and palm trees that are obviously not native and not thriving. The place is littered with smoke stacks since they have a ton of oil refineries for such a small island. If you stay right downtown and shop the same gift shops you find everywhere, fine, it's cute and the bridge is pretty but if you leave you'll see the true Curacao. We rented a car and went to Kenepa Beach (Grote Knip is what it's called there) and it was pretty like in the picture and not too crowded since it's 45min drive from cruise dock. You need water shoes because the broken pieces of coral hurts your feet on the way in. There are picnic tables and some shade but no services/nothing to eat/drink. We also went to Cas Abou which was pretty much the same but a longer beach, with food/drink, and chairs for rent, a masseuse, and the same coral pieces...I won't go back to Curacao.
