We saw the Royal Dutch Cheesery tucked away in the Rif Fort in the corner and since we like cheese, we wondered over to discover that they just recently started serving meals. We enjoyed the fondue so much, that we went back a second time to have it! We chose to have our fondue with vegetables and bread and there was the perfect amount of cheese (Swiss and Gruyere) and vegetables, it seemed like the last bite of bread was scraping the fondue pot! Our staff was very friendly, and without hovering, seemed to always be there at the right moment to fill our wine or water glass. We sat at one of the outside “high bar” tables and it was perfect and comfortable (both nights). They do have tables inside, but as of our trip, did not yet have air conditioning inside. This is a must stop restaurant on a trip to Willemstad

We love to sip wine and enjoy all the various items to eat on the menu, cheese fondue, goat cheese salad, Parmesan pasta, cheese cakes, and more! The staff is wonderful and treat you well. If you have children they will cater to them and make them and you smile. Your child can sit on the colorful cow that's in front of the restaurant. It's in the open air of The Riff fort, tables are on side of court yard. Perfect spot for people watching, band listening, all while sipping wonderful wine. Make it a must go to on your list! Oh and forgot to mention- price is very reasonable.

Had a lovely meal at the royal Dutch cheesery last week. The cheesefondue is amazing and included a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables and a bunch of good bread!

As a dessert I had a traditional cheeseboard and my husband had a lime-white chocolate cheesecake, it was to die for! The staff recommended us the wines that fitted well by our meals. It really was a cheese experience...

Also the ambiance of the whole place was great. We went there on friday and around 9pm a good local band was playing in the riffort. We had a lot of fun dancing and eating here.

We will be back real soon, thank you Cheesery!

Went for a lunch because I was really craving to try this place. I love raclette and needed to check it out.
The location is great, due to its easy parking access at the historic fort.
The formerly dungeon shop and restaurant is comfortable decorated and very good selection of cheese for sale.
Lunch included sandwiches, salads and raclette for very reasonable price. For Naf 30 p.p., you will get good amount of good gruyere cheese with sliced baguette, sliced apples and roasted mini potatoes.
Good selection of wine to go with the cheese and the raclette was so tasty!
For evening there are some cheese tasting menu, meat and fish of the day.
This place is a must visit for someone who loves cheese and want to experience the Dutch ambiance.
