We stayed in Papillote for 4 days in April. It is absolutely beautiful- there are hot springs onsite and a waterfall in a tropical rainforest/garden setting. It is walking distance from Trafalgar Falls and the hot pools. To get to other attractions, you will need a car or will have to hire a guide.
The breakfast is delicious, as is the dinner. It is a calm, peaceful retreat.
There are no screens on the windows, so birds can fly in to eat food, etc. Also, mosquitoes and other insects are present, but it is the rainforest so there are certain things that come with the territory. I am petrified of bugs and did not have any problems, so do not let this deter you.
The furnishings are rustic, but comfortable.
