ate lunch there - food was excellent, as was service. your meal will be cooked only after you order, so feel free to wander around the 4 acre garden while you wait

“A real rain forest experience”
Reviewed 29 March 2014 via mobile

We went here to use the sulphur hot springs on the property and to dine
We arrived and checked in for our meal and proceeded to the hot springs
No one directed us to them
We used the upper hot pool
When we sat in it felt slippery and we noticed there was a thick
Layer of algae growing on the whole pool
It obviously had not been cleaned in weeks
These pools are supposed to be emptied and scrubbed weekly
We decided to not say anything
We had our meal which was good but information about the meal was in correct
We were told that one set price included salad or desert when we got the bill it was all priced out separate
The service was good
And the food was good but the attention to detail overall was lacking and left a sour taste
When we got the bill we were also charged 10 EC charge for using the hot springs on top of our pricey meal bill

This was a too bad
No sign told us we were paying for the hot springs
So al though the food was good the whole experience left not a good feeling

“Do not miss this!”
Reviewed 8 March 2014 via mobile

Amazing view, service, drinks, and food. Flying fish with creole sauce and rice and beans was amazing. Rum punch was made with fresh guava juice and was strong. You can hike to the waterfalls from here. Don't miss this opportunity to eat in a rainforest, a piece of paradise!

“A LITTLE RAINFOREST GEM”
Reviewed 14 February 2014

Just returned from a cruise on Celebrity Equinox to the Caribbean and visited Dominica. We shared a taxi with some other people which was great and had a tour up to the rainforest where we were dropped off at the Papillote Wilderness Retreat/Restaurant. What a wonderful way to spend 3 hours walking around the rainforest seeing lovely plants and birds with some great views and away from the bustle of the cruise. We had lunch there which was lovely and then we were picked up by a lovely taxi man Michael - $25 dollars each for return. Great value. If anyone books a cruise - dont book the excursions on the ship - just jump in a taxi - so much better value for money and you meet some great taxi drivers.

“Good place for a little lunch”
Reviewed 9 February 2014

We had a nice little lunch here surrounded by birds and some beautiful views. It is very close to Ti Tou Gorge so a trip there before or after lunch isn't a bad idea.
