My wife and I visited paradise grand January 6 to 13. To no falter of the resort it rained for a solid 2 and a half days. Unfortunately there is nowhere to go or sit when it's raining. Even the buffet is limited when it's raining. The only spot it a small covered bar by the pool bar that fills up quickly. There is also no loby bar. Pool bar The bartenders at the pool bar will look after you extremely well if you tip them. Your drink will never be empty they will even get you plastic beer mugs or fancy plastic cocktail glasses. I was shocked at the people that don't tip. The pool bars down side is its in the shade all day and the water was Flippin cold. Beach bars....yes two of them The beach bars were fantastic I highly recommend the small hut on the beach; they took as much care as the pool bar. Beach vendors Yes there are vendors on the beach selling you stuff. Your in the Dominican Republic it's to be expected. Never pay full price bartering is to be expected. If they say 60 you say 10. Stand your ground they will come down. Room's were in building 11 room 1134. It looked out to kids pool and buffet.
