The waiters were rude and bad humored. Our table wasn't prepared and took forever to get our drinks.

Ive lived in Puerto Plata for more than 5 years and Las Palmas is th best restaurant you can find. Authentic Italian food, pizzas that come out of the brick oven and lovely staff are just a few reasons why I kept coming back. The owner and the manager of the restaurant will swing by your table everytime, just to make sure that everything is ok. I attended few group activities that were held at the restaurant and everybody had a great time. Make sure you go to it next time you visit Pto Pta...
Me and the wife went to had dinner at this place the other night, we'd where a bit intimidated by the prices as they were about 15% higher than their comparables, we ordered a parmesan eggplant, for the appetizer, it lacked sauce and cheese for our liking, but the eggplant itself tasted fresh, than we ordered a stuffed chicken breast, in tomato sauce, it lacked cheese but the tomato sauce was so fresh and tasty. That it made up for it. My wife had a carbonara pasta, which was great tasting but again very poor on the sauce. They brought out awesome bread with garlic to die for. We loved the fact that we ordered some Togo and even thought it was on Togo containers they did not compromised the decoration and garnished the meals with the usual carrots decor. Great food, could be a little more generous with the sauces and melted cheese. Would highly recommend it.
Went out with a friend who lives in Puerto Plata and truly enjoyed the ambiance, decor and the food - the pizza is a must try!!
The place has a really nice victorian house with a large tropical garden and the tables are on a big L shape terrace.
Italian food is really good, specially the pizza. However the meat is not their specialty.
Nice place. Definitely will come back.
