Stayed in royal service week if June 16th and loved it!! Beach is beautiful, the rooms are beautiful, out butler Rondon was great. Surprised us with champagne and roses in our room. But best part was the service at La Palapa. Thank you Mayra, Juan, Luiseuny, Jissell, Geronimo, and Bilis!! You made the trip so special. Thanks for your hard work and wonderful smiles! You know what Royal Service really means. We will see you next year!

We stayed at the Paradisus in April 2012 and my fiance and I absolutely loved it! The grounds of the hotel were beautiful and the beach was fine grit sand and very clean. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the cleaning staff was on top of it. We didn't have a single problem from the time we checked in to the time we left. We also opted to do the zip lining adventure, which was well worth the money. The zip lines were practically new and well constructed, so you felt safe going across them (not like some of the zip lines elsewhere). The trip was very affordable and we had a great time.

We're BaaaaAAAaaaack!! :)

What can I say, our return to PARADISE at Paradisus Punta Cana (and the Reserve) was well worth a third trip. However there are some slight changes...

They've instituted a Dominican Day/Night (Weds) - full of festivities, cuisine, music, shows and dancing. The Royal Service Suites received a slight cosmetic upgrade, and the pool areas (including the Reserve side for families) were granted some slight cosmetic upgrades as well.

We found ourselves greeting our Paradisus Family on the first day of course. The wonderful Gema made our stay as terrific as our last stay just 6 months ago. Mildred & Alphonsina were a pleasure to see (Mildred secured our reservations) and Alphonsina always makes sure that all our needs are met. They really do go above and beyond in terms of great service! Nestor in the Royal Service Lounge greeted us with Champagne and with amazing cocktails as we played cards until the wee hours of the night. The Pool/Beach Staff Geremias, Benita, and Jose kept the drinks coming and ensured a pleasant stay - they even remembered our favorite cocktails to the point that we we're never kept waiting! (Gracias familia!!)

Our Mayordomo, Enmanuel (now a close relative it seems) was a delight to see! We know we are in good hands when he's with us. All the details are not missed when Enmanuel takes care of us. As we entered our room, there were pictures of us in cute frames, making our stay as repeat customers, all the more special. The ever-striking Rondon (we'd kill for his healthy skin! jajaja) was also on board to ensure a beautiful stay with the Paradisus Royal Service!

The service overall, whether it's housekeeping, maintenance, hostesses, waiters, and bartenders were as I've written before - top-notch!! If you want a great vacation (and no-doubt you'll be repeat customers too) then you MUST book your Paradise-like Getaway at the Paradisus Punta Cana Royal Service Treatment. Families - check out the Reserve at the Paradisus Punta Cana and create amazing memories.

My huband and I stayed at the Paradisus Punta Cana in May for 4 nights. I am actually a travel agent and we were visiting another hotel as part of this trip. I try to do that while I travel to see a couple of properties and experience the destination as well as the resorts.

Overall the property is very lovely. The grounds are very well maintained and beautiful! Beach is nice, but I would upgrade to the Royal Service as they have their own beach area with better chairs and beach beds. That area of the beach is also much loser to the restaurants and bars.

The regular room categories are fine except that the standard beach area is on one end of the property and if you aren't staying on that side its a longer walk. They do have shuttles/trams that run every 10 - 15 minutes throughout the property because it's so large, so you can hop on one of those to get there as well. Please be kind to the shuttle drivers. Of all the staff on the property, they were the nicest and most hard working we came into contact with. Supposedly there is a bar on that end of the beach, but we never found it, so we didn't have drinks on the beach. It was very windy during our time there and we spent more time at the pool, where the drinks and service were fairly frequent and more easily accessible. Also the towel hut is located by the Royal Serivce Beach area, so get towels before you head down to the standard service beach area as it's not convienent to the where the chairs are on the beach.

Our room was on the ground floor. Room blocks are in buildings of 8 rooms per building, two on the top and two on the bottom on each side of the building. Unless you stay at the Reserve, which is specifically suited for families. The Reserve is more like a complex of rooms in one huge building. The room was clean and well lit. Our room was decorated in the modern motiff, which I do NOT care for, a bit to sterile for me. White paint, silver furniture, just kind of blah. But clean and comfortable none the less. Bathroom was fine, the shower area had to shower heads and was glass enclosed, with the toilet in the shower area. The sink is in a separate area with a large closet behind it. We didn't have a trash can in the bathroom, which was weird, but housekeeping put one in on the 3rd day. We did have one in the living area, but just strange that there wasn't any in the bathroom, maybe just an oversight.

The Wifi in the room kept going out the first two nights and always around the same time. My husband who is a commerical installer of audio/videos systems started investigating only to discover that the Wifi unit was plugged into a swithced outlet, so everytime he shut off his light switch next to the bed, he turned off the Wifi. He moved it to another outlet and preseto, we had continuous Wifi with no other problems. Wifi beyond the rooms was another issue. Lobby was spotty and the beach area and at some of the resutarants it didn't connect at all.

We ate at Mole (Mexican), which was good, not a lot of taste, I like flavor (spice) but of course, this is the Dominican and NOT Mexico, which is probably why. The food was hot and good. We also tried Vento, which is in the Reserve Lobby. You have to take a shuttle to get there, so leave early as not to miss your reservation time. I like the food, but wasn't my favorite, my huband had the lamb and thought it was the best. We also had reservations at The Grill (Argentinian) but were unable to keep our reservation because we returned late from a day excursion. We ate at the Gabi Beach Buffett all the other times and were really impressed with the presentation, the food and the variety of items. Also, the BEST part of the whole experience in the Dominican is the coffee. I've tasted coffee from alot of different places, but Dominican coffee is absolutely my favorite! It has a very mild flavor, but not weak, very smooth and rich tasting. We did a day trip up to the mountains and bought a bag from the local grower and wish we would have bought a case of it, because I'm out now and I'm sad that we have no more Dominican Coffee.

The overall service at the resort is very good. The front desk people were fine, not overly friendly, but the servers at the restuarants and bars were all very good and very helpful. The shuttle drivers were really good. We didn't have any trouble getting a shuttle, you do have to wait at times, but its a rather large, spread out property, so it takes a while to get from here to there in a timely manner. BE patient your on Island time..relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery!

We attened the Michael Jackson Show. Of course, my hubby the audio god had issues with the sound, but the show itself was quite entertaining. All the performers did quite well and it was fun to get out and enjoy some time away from the room.

Overall this property was lovely and would book clients here on one condition...Don't go to the "Orientation Breakfast". There is nothing Orientation about it. I knew what it was going in (and frankly curious as I've never attended one before), but was urged by the "Personal Concierge" to attend as I would get to see rooms and the property, which is one of the reasons I was there in the first place. It's a time share pitch and that's all. Your "Personal Concierge" whom you meet after you check-in is very helpful at making dinner reservations, etc all the while advising you go to this breakfast. It's NOT 90 minutes, it took 3+ hours. Please don't take 3+ hours out of your VACATION time to sit in a sales meeting. BTW we only saw 1 room category, which was The Reserve room and then back to the meeting. We never did see other rooms or more of the property.

Overall I give this resort a 4.5 star rating and would book clients here and go back WITHOUT going to a meeting. I wouldn't want to stay in The Reserve area as its really far from the beach, but if you have small children and would rather have the pool and kids area, then by all means, that part of the complex is definately suited for you. Royal Service a must for the better beach area, chairs and service.

Beautiful facility. The staff were very accommodating for my sister's wedding. It could not have been more perfect. Everyone, from the bartenders to housekeeping staff to groundskeepers, was incredibly friendly. There was never a moment that I didn't feel welcomed.

This is the best vacation of our life! Our 3 year anniversary! Thanks to Oscar Rios(from the mini bar) Wendy(pool bartender) Anthony(Aqua Bartender) made us very special drinks!!! and Josefina Mejias(house keeping). I would never forget them! Also to all my friends at the reception.They made our nights feel like Home! Restoke our room daily, and really maked our vacation feel like we where in home. I gave them 100% in points. Good jobs guys!!

Was there on a girls trip. The property, grounds and beach were beautiful and well maintained. The restaurants were pretty spread out. We had most of our meals at Naos--the buffet restaurant near the beach. The staff there provided excellent service! At breakfast, lunch or dinner Julio Hiraldo would have a table waiting for us! He and Wilking Jidal would make sure we had water, coffee or bar drinks. They were really friendly and catered to our needs! Make sure you look for them!!!
