I've just got round to writing this review I wrote one on facebook but I just felt I had to give more feedback as this was an amazing holiday ever and can't wait to return in a few months!! It was spotlessly clean food was amazing drinks where great housekeeping was spot on entertainment was 5 star honestly couldn't fault it i stayed for my 21st birthday they left birthday greetings dominican rum rose petals and beautiful heart shapes in the towels which was a really sweet touch as I had just popped back to get changed for my birthday meal which was super in one of their amazing al a carte restaurants, the food was gorgeous and they made me a lovely cake presented with candles balloons dimmed lights and a birthday song of course!! Was lovely and I thank all the staff at Riu palace macao my room was attended by housekeeping staff around 3 times a day to turn down my bed leave extra fresh towel or to re stock the fridge and optics was a brilliant service sheets and rooms was spotlessly cleaned everyday! The casino is great the best staff member is called OLIVER he's cool as a cucumber on ice and will help you to enjoy your stay at the hotel he has amazing laungage skills and will make you laugh also Danniella is really helpful too !! All amazing really YOU MUST stay here once in your life ... Me il be coming back again soon thank you all again ... X

Just got back from Riu Palace Macao, we had the best time ever. Since the renovation things are just A1, staff is most helpfull, friendly and fun. Food has improved over the last few years nothing to complain about. The entertainment staff is super. Loved our time there and we will be going back.

Room Tip: Any rooms overlooking the pool are great

Just returned from the Hotel Riu Palace Macao and i must say i was a little disappointed, the Hotel itself is lovely and modern, the staff are very friendly and the entertainment team are as mad as a box of frogs, very funny especially marvyn and brenda, however the food, even though there is plenty to choose from was not as good as a 5 * should be, the fresh salad and fruit was great but the hot food was either overcooked or deep fried and this is not to my taste, i did not starve though, there was always something to eat, the breakfast was the best meal of the day, the drinks were not good, especially the wine, i can tell the difference between good vodka and the cheap vodka and my partner can tell the difference between good bourbon and bad bourbon, so we suffered some what with the drinks available, the a la carte restaurants were not very good either, always seemed rushed when eating, once your first course was over the next had arrived and i prefer to take my time over dinner, even though i sound like i am complaining, it was not a bad holiday, but after sampling the 4 * in Mexico last year i think i was a little spoiled as that was fantastic, drinks and food,so i have now tried the Riu chain and must say i would not return. Rooms were fine lots of air conditioning and always cleaned, beach beautiful and pool area clean and very well kept, all in all it was ok but not worth what we paid, sorry Hotel Palace Macao. It was extremely hot and humid, very nice weather.

we were lucky enough to stay for 3 weeks at this fab hotel. we upgrades our room as the first one wasover looking caribean street, no problems at reception doing this , they were so helpfull, not only with this but helping with my wifi , nothing seems to much trouble. the view from our balcony was amazing(room 3247), looks straight onto ocean and pools. cant praise the staff enough, always smiling and cheerfull, they work so hard and such long hours. the entertainment team were fab and deserve a medal, loved brenda so funny, but my favourite was malvyn, the macaos own louis spence, he had me aching with laughter, wanted to bring him home!! we did 2 trips boogie buggies and outback safari, if you can book these for mondays, do so as they are thomson only, please visit this hotel, FABULOUS HOLIDAY!!

Room Tip: we upgrades to room 3247 fabulous wiews of the ocean and pools, bit noisy at night as they are on to...

Well we've been back 2 weeks and miss this place more than any other holiday.

Weather - full sun and 33 to 35 degrees celsius every day apart from 2/3 overcast ones. Burn easily if your pale so had to up the factor a bit. Amazing tan though! Rain was in the evening and short lived. One day it rained during the day but 1 out if 14 isn't bad!

People - the hotel staff are amazing, so happy, friendly and eager to please. The reps have so much energy and involve everybody which is great. There's anything from dancing, water aerobics to bingo and evening entertainment. We made so many friends and miss the atmosphere very much.

Hotel - we were upgraded upon arrival because it was our ten year anniversary. Also the maids left beautiful towel sculptures most days with a special one on my birthday which was really lovely! The hotel also gave little gifts- bottle of champaigne etc. The rooms are lush, the bathrooms luxurious and the storage/security brilliant. The whole hotel had a very romantic, luxurious feel to it. Perfect for couples.

Food - the buffets were amazing every breakfast, lunch and dinner so be prepared to put on weight! Anything from sushi to mexican to Italian in the evenings. After a bit of asking they also became familiar with my gluten allergy and were able to advise me on dish content which was really helpful. We only tried one a la carte restaurant - the steakhouse - but didnt have very good food so stuck to buffet (men have to wear trousers here so please pack them!) However they did decorate with balloons and brought a cake out for my birthday which was really special.

Drink - i never get board of all inclusive drinks. There's the pool bar, restaurant and inside bar, servers even walk round the pool and beach to take your order! Cocktails are yummy and full of alcohol here. Also have alcohol in the room so i don't think we ever stopped!! The vodka takes some getting used to as it tastes different but everyone has to try the mama juana (shot famous in the Dominican)!

Pool/beach - the pools were so perfect, the bar pool was very warm so great when the sun was going down, always sunbed space shade and sun. The beach was beautiful and about 30 strides from the pool. Bit more of a breeze on the beach so easier to stand the heat! Sea was lush, big waves on some days which were a lot of fun!

I could go on but i hope this encourages you to try it and that the hotel can see what a wonderful experience we had with them! THANK YOU!!!

We enjoyed our 7 night vacation at Riu. The food was the best we've had at any all inclusive. We had no problem making a la carte reservations as I had read-perhaps since it was not crowded? The staff goes out of their way to please everyone & are all so friendly & smiling. However, I would rate it a 4 star compared to other 5 star resorts we've been to.
The Riu Palace next door seemed to more upscale-that should be the adult only one!!!!
Everything is immaculate. Location is perfect. Animation staff is pleasant. The dancers are very good--the shows are just ok. We were happy the new theater opened the night we were leaving since that is very nice.

Room Tip: Higher the floor-the better-we had ocean view & pool view. Morning sun on deck & nice shade...
